I am 45 and can run comfortably for 2+ hour runs at 155 bpm. Tempo runs average 170. A long time ago I think I got my max hr tested at 208. I never really thought there were any performance benefits to this but am I wrong?

I think I have a pretty high max for my age and I stink. Don't get me wrong, I like the endorphins from running, but you could time me with a sundial.
