I'm really sick in my throat and have a runny nose but nothing else. I also have a 5:01 PR and really wanna break 5. It's the Azusa meet of Champions meet too and I'm really excited so I don't want to miss it. So rest or race?

just go and do it man.. A cold shouldn't really affect you as long as you don't have a fever go and race. Go and run a PR!
That sounds contagious. Stay home so you don’t get your teammates and the other athletes sick. There will be other races.
How long is the commute? Over like 30 minutes just save your driver / team mates the pain of being stuck in the car with your cold for a long time.
You will break 5 there, it's a fast track. Take some elderberry, a spoonful of honey, and go race. You got this!
probably too late but if you insist on going sick you should seek dispensation to travel and hang out by yourself. but then half the hangup on covid was getting people to think about others in terms of their choices.
fwiw as an allergy person it can be just running mucus. sore throat if you let it run down the back, runny nose if it drains. check your temp and see if it basically goes away if you blow your nose. if it's cold or covid short of a med it will just run like mad.
You’re unlikely to have a good race when sick.
Race. This world is man vs man. If you get others sick, then good.
Could be contagious. Stay away from other people. A 1-2 minute PR for a below 5 minute mile is not fast enough to justify infecting them.
Did you run, OP? I want to know how you did.
Nah I just watched my team on HD Runners
