Are you slow? Sydney has done much more for track than Bol. I've been asked by quite a few people about Sydney. Many of them watch track and keep up with it solely because of her. Nobody cares about who comes in second place to her, it's all about her winning. You must not understand that she's bringing in a different type of crowd into the world of track, more fans means more money for the athletes. It's early March, there's no reason for Sydney to be racing when she's gearing up for an historic double at the Olympics. There's way too many crybabies on here. I can't wait to see how upset you all will be when she wins and sets more records.
It's funny and incredibly sad at the same time, that you people don't realize how incredibly dumb this reply is.
Y'all are so indoctrinated that you can't even consider the possibility that - oh shock horror - there is no such thing as a god. So if someone doesn't play along in your fairy tail you make it fit your narrative by blaming the devil 🤦🏻♂️
Hate to bring it to you, but people who find the whole concept of a god rather stupid - rational, sane people, that is - really don't find the concept of a devil very probable either.
I can easily not cheer for someone that can't beat Sydney. Don't know about you but I prefer a winner, not someone that has to race every weekend because they know when it comes to the big races they can't win. We all know the ONLY reason Bol won last year is simply because Sydney chose a different event. Don't act like she actually beat Sydney.
I like this post except for the "So easy to cheer against Sydney and Mu" part. No reason to cheer "against" anyone. That being said, I do believe they damage their image by not competing more and or being more public and media friendly. Being a great track athlete requires being more accessible and doing more to promote the sport. Both are amazing athletes that can do a lot for the sport if they just reached out a bit more. Maybe they have a plan to self promote and be more visible this upcoming spring and summer leading into Paris.
I think Sydney and Femke are both great! I have a thing for underdogs and hope Femke continues to grow to push Sydney even more. By all appearance they seem like wonderful people and I hope they both have great success. Athing Mu is one of the most impressive interviewers, presents herself as a kind and cheerful person. Hope she can get the gold this year!
True, but how can anyone cheer for an athlete who doesn't turn up to be cheered?
Mu was at the world champs and diamond league champs and even challenged herself in the 1500m at nationals. I don’t consider that “doesn’t turn up” personally.
