Jim Fixx. Frank Shorter is a close second. I don't care for modern day social media influencers...but, more power to them.

Who is Jon Gault?
Ben Barrows had some great informative content for faster recreational runners. I do enjoy a good Luis Orta Kenya training video. The Tinman Elite videos with Reed Fischer are interesting and informative.
Joe V. Hill

serious runner claims he's not an influencer. i don't know what he's trying to be though.
Sage, longtime subscriber of Vo2maxProductions here. I don't have a least favorite. I've been watching a lot of Stephen Scullion lately.

OK I'll bite, here's your running YouTuber breakdown:
USA based:
Athlete Special - cult classic during college, bad commitment led to channel downfall
Allie O - just made World XC team but often too distracted by TAS and making excuses
Charles Hicks - nice guy but inconsistent channel and rarely indepth content
Lex&Leo - not watched enough to comment
Habtamu Cheney - interesting to have someone new to watch but often cited as a real a--
Adam Wood - just finished his OTQ journey, could be interesting depending whats next
Clayton Murphy - cool to see such a high level pro but inconsistent with family duties
Evert Silva - channel went dark after kicked off college team and certain allegations
New Gen T&F - immature AF
Gwen Jorgensen - spends too much time explaining why X didn't go well
In The Long Run (Joshua Sanchez) - gave up on channel when races started flopping
Molly Seidel - not watched enough to comment
Paul Chelimo - not sure how consistent uploads but good quality workouts to watch
Rory Linkletter - new channel has been looking good, though often short vids
Seth DeMoor - channel completely tanked when putting quantity over any quality
FogDog (Adam Fog) - good dude, good vids, post-NCAA vids havent been as good
Tinman Elite - had great potential but rarely put out actual team running content
Very Nice Track Club - not watched enough to comment
Morgan McDonald - personal favourite, some say a bit immature and infrequent but brilliant editing
Yaseen Abdalla - not watched enough to comment, new channel
Ari Klau - gave up on running, always burns himself out, intentionally annoying character
Dante August - good but mostly just copying Paul Chelimo footage
Matt Choi - bib mule and ruining other peoples races by getting people to cycle alongside him topless to vlog
Ben Barrows - OG channel, great training insights, no longer active
Sage Canaday/V02MaxProductions - not watched enough to comment
Flo Berg Runs - just found recently, not bad
Kofuzi - never watched channel before
UK based:
Nick Bester - scam artist, often factually incorrect, bedroom monologues are boring
Ben Parkes - once UK's biggest channel, now avoids hard work & tries to just appeal to beginners to sell training plans and hats
Ben Felton (BenIsRunning) - good race vlogs but shills anything and gives bad advice
Anya Culling - nice enough girl but doesn't understand the sport very well & some questionable TUE reasons behind "I've never done a race I've not PR'd in"
Cole Running (Cole Gibson) - good dude, makes poor decisions and often v immature
Jake Wightman - amazing to see, inconsistent channel due to injuries
Philly Bowden - hasn't matured since teenage years, makes it a very tough watch
TheDistanceProject (Callum Elson) - possibly one of the best channels there is. high quality vids & workouts
FOD Runner (Andy Raynor) - has progressed recently but doesn't understand the sport properly yet gives advice out to people
The Welsh Runner (Matt Rees) - thinks that trying to run through the wall every session is the best training technique, often blows up, often bad races. Very narcissistic in person and even during races shouting at himself
Trackstaa - potential to be great but late to alot of updates and steals content. Lockdown workouts were good though
Jonny Davies - come over from tiktok, has 0 clue about the sport but giving out advice to newbies yet cant break 6min for the Mile
Anti-Concrete Track Club - most down to earth channel I've found beside Callum Elson.
Amritpal Ghatora - gave up on channel when he couldn't do any better than his ~2:55 Marathon, and kept missing sub3
Stephen Scullion - started by following his pods, vlogs bounce between interesting workouts and less interesting monologues about something new he's uncovered but will change direction on soon
Other:
Matt Fox - enough has been said about this guy before but the Sweat Elite brand of Pro Athlete's workouts is top tier
George Mills (the5Kguys\OAC Europe) - super vids recently found them and loved them
Top 3, in no order:
the5Kguys
TheDistanceProject
Sweat Elite [workout videos]
Matthew Boling rules all!
Boling is off to a solid start
