The Ole Jv squad would do better to find an online training program to get them ready for the championship because they have a realistic chance of being 6th and beaten by Lars/Calvin and a couple throwers. So much for the Northfield distance dynasty.
I’m calling a conference record for Bati in the 5000 and a sit and kick win in the 3K barely edging Lars.
So excited for MIACs this year! Especially the WOMEN who's races which have been grossly underrepresented on this thread. They had a very impressive run in the fall, and hope that they can continue this energy into the winter!

Women are better at socializing and probably have better things to do than post on message boards. Also, Fiona wins everything by like two laps, probably lap everyone in the mile… and that’s if she isn’t running it, she’d lap them while doing her warm-up/cool down.
Hopefully this meet runs better than the sh*tshow of an entry process. Poor communication and every deadline was missed. My coach said he's never seen it done worse in his time in the MIAC and he is proposing meet directors be fined in the same way a coach can be fined for late entries.

We get it, he didn’t recruit you. Sorry you were too slow. Let’s move on and quit talking about the coach of a program that will likely be 4th at the championship.
Anybody know if the rumors about Brian Power inviting the Gustavus team over to his house for dinner are true? Seems like it might be against the rules?

This! What happens in the 3k? Oles pack, or does it get super strung out? Do the Carls use their superior intellect to run recently re-enlisted Marine Gabe Nichols? How many times does 17 flat Bethel stud get lapped by Bati and Will? Will Lars and Boone's legs explode before or after the 3k?
Was at The Flame Nightclub in Duluth last night and saw Lars Dewall in the cage absolutely ripped out of his mind. If he wasn’t the 3k favorite before, he sure is now!

17 flat is a high bar for a man who went nearly 17:30 in his last 5k. Either way, the JV battle in a big man’s race was on nobody’s agenda for today. Either way, inside sources tell me he’s getting his hair braided by the girls this week in an attempt to cut down on stress and energy loss before the race and for aerodynamics to hold off the Auggie with more white hairs than a congressman.
Either way, it’ll probably be 4-5 laps that those two have to carry past Will and Bati.

What a day of racing! Kelly beats Bati in a 5k 1v1 battle, and McKee and Edwards emerge from a pack of Oles to grab 3rd and 4th. Calvin goes gun to tape to win the mile, but looked exhausted trying to double back in the 800, where mongo dong Tommy held off Olaf's Moore (??). Too bad Wallin was in the slow heat, he might have been able to challenge for the win with someone to race against. DMR might have been the highlight of the day though. Carleton and Mac entered top squads, but a fresh group of Oles defended their home track. After observation today, it is believed that Calvin and Lars's legs will fall off completely either in the latter half of tomorrow's 1k, or at the 800 meter mark of the 3k depending on how many zyns they consume between now and the start of the racing tomorrow.
