Any word on what happened to Dibaba? I had the race on and just noticed she was gone at some point.

Road to Paris list just updated with Fukuoka and Valencia
Fauble now 66th
John Hakizimana still on the list, but that would move him to 65th on the list.
"Talent doesn't go away"...I guess KB is showing that he has the real heart of a champion. To keep going after all he's done and been through, and to lay down that sort of opening half and hang on like he did. That's the sort of "intangibles" that make GOATS.
Isn’t it interesting that the elite men continue to run in the Vaporfly 2 over the Vaporfly 3 in most of these races? They really seem to prefer it
Gashau Ayale (ETH) 2:05:46 is actually from Israel. His PR is 2:05.33
I want to share an observation about one of the pacemakers, Bernard Ngeno.
Of the three pacemakers, Ngeno is the one with the fastest half marathon time (59:07), so he can be expected to stay in the race the longest.
Do you think the collision could be the reason for him dropping out so early? Or is it normal that one of the pacemakers already leaves way before the 10 km mark?

Much better from Kandie. Sounds like he got a little too feisty in the second half and paid for it the last 5K. Sub-2:05 is light year’s better. He used to be overaggressive in the half but learned that race, so you wonder if he’s going to have a big Spring marathon.
I thought Mutiso actually was going to regress based on his half coming in but in retrospect excellent year for him. Not Deso/Geays best but not bad either. I wonder if Geay reverts back to training in Iten, though really he was having a great year until the DNF is Sydney.
Bekele what can you say? Huge talent, if he’s gotten a decent amount of training he can crank a great race out. Forget about his age or last 5 races.
Female Australian marathon runners are pretty good compared to runners born in Europe (Batt-Doyle, Gregson, Weightman).
European champion Aleksandra Lisowska couldn’t even finish in the top 25.
