Are you the same person that started the lie about Natalie Cook?
Why try to dramatize the situation? She’s a grad transfer. It’s not unusual for those that are graduating to transfer. If she is a serious student then perhaps CU is not offering what it is that she wants to study.
There’s nothing nefarious or strange going on. Don’t try to make something out of nothing.
My take is the administration is blowing up the running program just as they did the football program many years ago with Barnett. The lawyers are killing the program. The Oregon State athlete has succeeded in decimating their rival.
Addy Wiley dodged a bullet. That place is obviously toxic and couldn't train her to run sub-4:00 anyway. She just avoided the mess rather than get into it and realize how bad it is. Some people see the light earlier than others.

Nope. Not the same person.
I agree with the other poster, she did handle a bumpy last year or so as professionally as she could and I wish her all the best, but her priority is running right now (not grad school). She’s a talented runner and wants to compete at the next level and CU isn’t working for her now, thus her reasoning for leaving. It is what it is. These athletes have a right to go elsewhere if they are unhappy or if things aren’t working out for them and many are taking advantage of the option to go elsewhere (no just Covert). “Grad transfer” looks good, but she’s leaving for personal reasons.

What are you guys on about? She is going to graduate school at a place with a program that suits her academic interests and provides her a way to continue running at the high NCAA level. I would think her "immediate priority" is what she's going to do with the next 40 years of her life beyond running.
Are Wetmore and Burroughs leaving at the end of the academic year? The investigation didn't find an immediate termination offense, but the administration may feel that the situation was toxic enough to non-tender contracts going forward and to re-boot the program under new leadership. Perhaps the athletes are being told so that they can transfer if they so choose?

explain
It was a former lower tier CU runner that instigated the investigation into the cross country program after transferring to Oregon State. Now, in order to address the issue (that was mostly in a handful of athlete’s heads), the athletic department likely implemented a bunch of CYA procedures that killed the environment of the program. It’s similar to what they did to the football team after the accusations of a black out drunk. It set the football program back decades.

She’s already in grad school at CU. She’s has other reasons why she’s leaving. Not the first time one has left a school for private reasons, won’t be the last.
