The time/distance in the screenshot below says 2:48/1k. True, it could have been a bit off.
since there is only 1 decimal place it probably starts to show 1.0 km at 0.95 km!

I'd be surprised if she runs 15:30. Did not appear close to top form.
B UT 15:30 would nicely accomplish the goal of getting an ncaa indoor qualifier out of the way.
It would, if she can do it.
Valbymania is alive and well, claiming new victims weekly!
Tyynismaania is rising
Looking forward to see how this plays out, expect great things™️!
Citius is saying the fast heat will be paced for 15:12

That is Sisson's 5k indoor record, so Valby is going for it

Hilda has a reasonable chance of sticking with that pace for at least most of the race I think
Valby will fade to a 15:45, being overtaken by Elise Stearns.

I think it more likely she runs 14:45 than 15:45 (not that I think that is likely)

I don’t believe it is kosher to think you can Trademark a perennial LRC meme. Also, when one is going full Valbymania, to mention another runner with the same degree of viral descriptiveness borders on disloyalty and disrespect to Parker.

Yeah. Curious what Rodenfels and Johnson's goals are for this race.
Did Kim smith not break 15 - or was thereabouts?

71 per 400 is 8:53 for 3000 while her pr from early this year is 8:49.7. If I have a vote I'd say somewhere around 15:00-15:05. Speed is not her forte. Note where she was at 600 in Charlottesville.
Valby said she got boxed in is why it took a while to get to the front. You can see it develop in this video starting at 1:05.

yea...but why did she get boxed in? Others were out faster.

I can't imagine why Johnson would be running for a qualifying time. Either a pacer, or just trying to see where her fitness is at.

Valby’s 1st 1k at Natty’s was clocked in 2:47.
Come on dude - 2:47 is about 4:24 pace. You really think she ran that fast?

Wasn't that 4:24 Tuohy's collegiate record. So Valby, on a tough course. ran that pace for the first 1k and then maintained that pace for another 4k?
Valby is 30 secs faster than last year, I think 14:55. And she’s improved her kick dramatically.
Also hoping Amy bunnage gets her PR or sub15:10 after fading badly at xc natl.
Hilda of Alabama running 5k but no Doris? That would have been epic to see the 14:40 runner vs valby’s 14:55.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
