It's too obvious It's you. You are using literally the same words as always: magic, false belief... Now add myth and unicorn and we all know you are rekrunnering again.
I only post as rekrunner. For long time readers, it should be obvious who the other poster is. I focus on performance results, not complex physiological metabolic processes. I never talk about unicorns. I rarely talk about magic, but have from time to time referred to magic potions and elixirs from the ancient Druids.
The constant waves of busts, broken records and faster times cause me to question if there are any pros that are clean these days.
At this point I assume the really famous ones just have more sophisticated help to cover their tracks as the money is greater. But some still get popped, as we have seen recently.
While some pros may dope, the recent wave of fast times are coming from advancements in shoes.
Yes, lots of them. So many posters here who obsess about doping have no idea about what it takes for these guys to be elite.
There is no magic sauce.
What is this comment, take some GW-1516 and tell me there is no special sauce. This comment is so stupid, Parker Valby runs twice a week and you think there is no special sauce.
sauce was pretty magic for SHELBO, no?? and FLOYD?? and BEN?? and FLOJO?? .......................................................................................... i think we could all keep going all day - how can anyone POSSIBLY say there is no magic sauce?? Floyd was nothing short of Popeye like in his transformation...
The kenyan and ethiopian women are so obvious lately, but I am sure it is everywhere.
And with all the lower level busts coming out too, it's just not believable anymore.
Then there was even that track meet in India where the runners failed to start when they heard testers were on site.
How do you know this? Or are you just yet another paid shill here trying to deflect from the rampant doping in East Africa? The fact that one geographic region is getting so many busts despite vastly inferior testing, is a sign that most pro athletes are NOT doping.
In 2021 the murder rate in Jamaica was 52 in every 100,000 inhabitants. In Japan the same year it was 0.2 inhabitants in 100,000.
There are doping busts in Jamaica quite regularly, but never in Japan. We know that doping is everywhere and Japan must be covering it up,
I can't believe the police corruption and incompetance in Japan for them to be covering up their murder rate. There is no way the murder rate is 52 in Jamaica and 0.2 in Japan. There must be serial killers everywhere in Japan and the police don't bother even recording the murders. Or maybe it's gangs intimidating the victim's families from even reporting the deaths of their loved ones? It can't possibly be because there are cultural and environmental differences between Jamaica and Japan to explain the difference in murder rate or the doping rate. No way, that's racist!
The dominant view on letsrun seems to be that distance running is a uniquely classy professional sport free of illegal drug use outside of Africa. Pretty funny considering everyone at the highest level is doping and it’s been that way for a long time.

Remember when you claimed that no Kenyan had ever broken 3:35 clean? Pepperidge Farm remembers, and so do many of us here. You have zero credibility on this topic.
Ethiopia has four guys running 12:42 and three under 58:00, all of them with long careers full of eye-popping performances. Zero busts. How are they getting away with it when they spend so much time obliterating everyone on the Diamond League circuit?
Spain has men running 3:29 and 12:45. USA has 3:43, 7:25, multiple sub 13:00. GB has two sub 3:30. Norway has a guy blowing away records from the 90s. It is happening everywhere and no one is getting caught outside of the Kenyan B listers.
We have heard over and over that testing is largely ineffective and only the stupid/unlucky get caught. Why shouldn’t the system catch a bunch of impoverished no names who are getting EPO from the pharmacy, while the big stars fly under the radar with their medical teams and designer drugs?

That is only if you know for a fact that doping - which constantly develops - doesn't enhance performance. You don't know that. It does.

You can't claim that. Yes - some sports and some countries dope more than others but it is known to be everywhere at the top of sports now. It has also been known for nearly twenty years that doping done professionally is almost impossible to catch.

Doping isn't a necessary product of environmental corruption; it is also the result of ambition and the preparedness to do whatever it takes to succeed. That will be found anywhere.

I just follow the evidence. We know the shoes have improved.
We also know that athletes dope and have done so for decades and that doping develops continuously and faster than shoe technology. There is evidence you can't follow, even if it hit you over the head like a sledgehammer.
Yes, Jakob Ingebrigsten and Josh Kerr is clean. So is Hicham El Guerrouj, Kelvin Kiptum, Daniel Komen, Paul Tergat, Haile Gebrselassie, Kenenisa Bekele. These ones I can all guarantee! I mostly follow the men's side, so not too interested in who is clean on the women's side. For one Tirunesh Dibaba and Genzebe Dibaba is definitely clean.

Not knowing any Biology is a handicap for you. It means that you're just going to argue in circles with other posters who don't know any Biology either.
