Anyone know if Issam Asinga is eligible for indoor track? Was suspended before World meet, but never heard what has happened to his case. I know he protested his suspension.
Maybe the supposed "journalists" that run this site should, instead of posting pro R talking point threads all day and jock-sniffing in their spare time, maybe could ASK THE RIGHT PEOPLE THE OBVIOUS QUESTIONS AND GET BACK TO US?

yeah, seriously. if anything deserves a story right now it’s this. essentially one of the fastest guys in the NCAA tested positive in a high profile doping case and not only does he or the people around him face zero consequences but he’s allowed to run immediately?
USA is the sprint version of Kenya in the marathon. EXCEPT with even less consequences for those caught just look at who this kid had to look upto Gatlin (tested positive several times still considered one of the all time greats by USATF) and Coleman (missed tests tried to cover it up poorly and now back on the scene no questions asked no problems). Asinga seems to be getting the same treatment with doping being treated as more like a sin bin rather than an actual disgrace and ban.

Coleman served a ban that caused him to miss the 2021 Toyko Olympics. Of note, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (headquartered in Switzerland) reduced the ban to 18 months from two years. Asinga also competes for Suriname so the US has no stake in helping him cover it up. Besides, I'd argue Jamaica is the sprint versioin of Kenya in the marathon when it comes to government coverups.
Seems like he received some votes for the pre-season watchlist. I presume he wasn't unanimously elected purely because of the drug stuff because he is clearly going to wipe the floor with everyone.
To anyone who's aghast at the idea posited that doping should be legalized ....
...this is why, folks.
Clown show.
If I ever had a High Schooler under my control that even touched 10.1x, I'd be scouring through the trash looking for something. If you think the NCAA is dirty (it is), high school is also a circus. Moreso unregulated and untested.

what is going on?
Black privilege and favoritism
Literal legal adult doped to the gills on SARMS and we all just shrug our shoulders and let it slide. Tells you ALL you need to know about this sport and those of whom are in control.
An f'ing joke. And to think, when this "kid" started popping of sub 10s like clockwork, riddled with acne, beating the World Champion in the event with ease.....most of you jokers fell for it lmao.
I don't know what's worse in this sport - the "elites" in control, the rampant doping ....or the gullible idiots who keep this train going.

So you think Houston McTear was doping in high school?

It doesn't matter what I think. I don't name drop or play those silly games. I simply point out obvious patterns, data and facts.
Houston was a senior in HS in '75 if my memory serves correctly; with a PB at that time of 10.28
Who TF knows or cares.... I do know that in the 70s PED usage was rampant and testing was far behind.
If 14 year old girls in the DDR were juiced to the gills, why are you exempting mature American teenage young men with sprinting prowess?

I think Assinga is dirty. McTear was most likely clean, almost certainly. McTear's 9.0 100y converts to much faster than 10.28 100m. The point is there are people with that kind of talent. If you really feel anyone who runs 10.1 at 18 years old must be dirty you should stop following track. Regarding "name dropping," if I don't give someone like McTear as an example, please tell us about someone we've never heard of who has run so fast. 14 year old girls in the DDR were under complete control of their "government," while McTear was living in abject poverty in a shack. Word was McTear's 59 year old Uncle was almost as fast. McTear later went from living on the streets smoking crack and drinking whiskey, to cleaning himself up for a few months to run 10.25 for a European Championship gold (he had immigrated to Sweden.) Do you think living on the streets eating poorly while taking drugs and alcohol gave him a competitive advantage? It is called "Natural Talent."
