I’m always amazed at how an ultimately individual sport can ever be “ruined” by anyone or anything. It’s so easy to just ignore any part of the scene you dislike and do your own thing, enjoying the sport in your own way. Maybe that’s true of all sports in a way but it should be especially true of an individual sport.
My daughter loves their overpriced stuff because it is "cute." She is indifferent to their diversity, equity, and inclusion moves, which she did not know about. However, if she were aware of them being, say, anti-women or whatever, through social media, it would probably lead to her not wanting their stuff, so canning their CEO/founder and emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion was probably the right preventative move to maintain their clientele, even if that clientele is not itself diverse.
I'm sorry, but what do you want?? People are up in arms when female-identifying biological males race against women. Biologically, Nikki is a woman who asks to be referred to as "they" and that's it. Where's the problem? Playing field seems fair to me.
Does anyone else think the lulu silver ion stuff (to ward away smell) is heavy? too heavy for running? it's a just a sliver of restriction that is not freeing. or is it my imagination?
I agree, the two workout shirts I have from Lulu with silver are heavier than other shirts. They're very comfortable and I'll still run in them - but will grab something lighter if it's very hot outside or to race in.
I bought a few new shirts a couple of months ago for running, I wanted some shirts that aren't Marathon shirts as that's what I typically go with. Bought a couple Lululemon shirts and a few Rabbit shirts. The Rabbit shirts are significantly better for running and cheaper. I don't wear the Lululemon shirts for running anymore, good casual shirts though.
Disagree. They still make really high quality clothing.
i used to think Lululemon was outrageously overpriced, but the prices of other athletic brands like Nike, adidas, NB and even speciality running brands like brooks have crept up over the years. Lululemon is now only marginally more expensive and the quality is much better than any other mass produced brand
I have two pairs of shorts that I absolutely love. I bought them probably 5-6 years ago and they’re still great. I just got a new jacket for Christmas that I love and know I’ll wear for years to come. They are certainly nicer and look nicer than brands ala Nike
Dude, they sell yoga leggings for $120. How do you think yogis 25 years ago felt with their commercialization of a spiritual practice? At least running is straightforward. They are obviously targeting the masses who run for recreation and health.
Don't get me wrong, I love lululemon shorts and shirts for casual wear and the occasional gym work out. But Lululmeon has sponsored three of the most annoying personalities in T&F. Niki Hilitz (Self explanatory), Colleen Quigley (very obnoxious woke posts) and Tara Davis (way too much, could she not land a legit sponsor in T&F?) What is their motive? Is it simply that they support woke narratives or are they legitimately trying to get into T&F?
Nikki Hiltz is a great runner, she holds the AR for the mile. Not everybody can be Thor/s Sub perfect can’t do wrong non-criticisable Valby which is what you are saying.
I'm confused. How could anyone see Nikki Hiltz interviewed and not come away liking her? I've never seen her be obnoxious once. The only negative things I'm aware of are the remarks on this message board.
Hiltz doesn’t identify as female yet constantly races against them

You are 100% correct! I was at my local shopping mall and wandered in the Lululemon store. Everything was expensive! They had plus sizes! There was an obviously gay dude and a chick with tats and a nose ring working there! There were pictures of Colleen Quigley, Nikki Hiltz, and some Lizzo looking "fitness and lifestyle" models on display.
It made me depressed and then it dawned on me that running was ruined. There is no reason to keep doing it. I threw away all of my running shoes, including the AlphaFly 3s that just arrived, and burned my running clothes. I just can't run any longer...because Lululemon RUINED IT!!! Shut it all down and pull it from the Olympics!
