This is a truly horrifying and insidious medical issue that needs to be talked about more. Yes, COVID most likely won't kill you, but it can significantly reduce your quality of life.
Michael Phelps also told me on the tv that my depression puts me at a higher risk of Covid complications. First thing I’m doing in the morning is going to talk to my Provider to see what oral treatment options may be right for me.
Did you know that more than 30% of Americans are obese, don’t exercise and drink too much alcohol? That will also reduce their quality of life. Add ‘long-COVID’ to the mix and they have even more excuses.
I would guess that the reason that long covid isn't getting more publicity is that a lot of these "long covid" cases are probably vaccine damage... either brought on by the vaccine itself or by the combination of getting covid after getting vaccinated.
Do the "long covid" sufferers all have one thing in common? It's surely not that one thing though, because you're not allowed to say it's that one thing and it could not possibly be that one thing according to the industry members that will lose their jobs if they dont follow the money dialect. AND remember, this virus was human created and released from the lab Fauci worked at one point in Wuhan, China. Just in case anyone hasn't figured out where it came from. Pfizer (former) lead rep Jordan Walker admitted they manipulate and create viruses in order to streamline a cash cow with the "cure/remedy" for their pharmaceutical company. Big pharma is pure evil and that's also been an open secret for decades now.

Except that the largest contingent, and arguably the most symptomatic, came from the 2020 infections before any vaccine was around

I misspoke here. It's unclear prose on my part because "a lot" is a very vague term. "A lot" could be over half or it could be 1 in 100, depending on the context.
Here is what we should be able to agree upon.
Fact: Long covid exists
Fact: Long vaccine damage exists
"Long" in this case refers to the definition used in the US Census Household Pulse Survey referenced in the initial post, which was symptoms lasting three months or longer (see link below for questions).
We could EASILY gather data to find out how much long vaccine damage exists. For example, tt would be so simple for the Household Pulse Survey to add three questions relating to the vaccine in its next survey.
1. Have you been vaccinated?
2. Did you experience any symptoms lasting 3 months or longer from the vaccine?
3. Did these long-term symptoms reduce your ability to carry out day-to-day activities compared with the time before you had the COVID-19 vaccine?
I keep urging for this type of survey to be done and it continues to be shrugged off by vaccine advocates. If they truly cared for people, they'd want to know this data so future vaccines could be improved.
As part of an ongoing partnership with the Census Bureau, the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) recently added questions to assess the prevalence of post-COVID-19 conditions (long COVID), on the experimental Househ...

I don't think it is so easy to determine cause/effect/coincidence. Also there has been very little testing for covid-19 in the last year. Trust the people who are experts in the field. Do you have training in virology/immunology/survey design/epidemiology? Maybe you should reconsider your opinion.
