My point exactly, Valor is worried about individual glory....DC not running the 3200 and Dane apparently skipping the 4X8. They have a new distance coach hopefully he can turn this mentality around. It will be tough. Go and watch their tent during a meet. A lot of teams have parental involvement, but Valor takes it to a new level. Go to their XC meets. The tent is a ridiculous reminder that Valor kids are privileged. Seriously, when I ran we had a pop up tent that the team put up not mommy and daddy
. Valor Parents loiter around the tent the entire meet. Several of them camp out with the coach like they are part of the coaching staff. Be part of the parents club and allow your kid to be coached. This will require that little Johnny run in a race he is not comfortable in for the good of the team. Downs and Anderson are animals. I am glad someone has the balls to go out and score as many points as possible!
