Friendly, reminder, you are talking about a real person who very well may read this. I've written up that summarizes the key points that he said on the podcast.
What the New Zealand article fails to mention is that Zane appears to be suicidal. He talked about wanting to end his life 3 or 4 times on the podcast.
If anyone is suicidal, please dial or text 988 in the US. We have the international suicide numbers in the article.
"The only person suggesting he got the EPO in Ethiopia is Robertson himself" ... because he's the only person talking about this that knows where he got the EPO, perhaps? Sir, it would serve you to run your own words by you before posting.
Also, he was living in Ethiopia at the time, only moved to Kenya last year.

I think it's doubtful that Zane will be pursued on the transporting EPO charge and it will be very difficult to prove or disprove that he got the EPO from Ethiopia. He's now got a ban against him for the eight years and I don't think there's anything more that will be done even though potentially he could get into trouble for transporting EPO but it would be very difficult to prove without full cooperation from Zane himself which is unlikely. Doubtful that this will go any further. He's been punished enough. He confessed and he came clean about almost everything, in my opinion, except the EPO provenance details which raises the stakes much too far and would actually put possibly himself and his brother and their family in a state of insecurity.
I think he should go and be a basketball coach in New Zealand
On a lighter note, he could branch into acting. He reminds me of Clint Eastwood. Personality and similar speech style.
Just kidding actually but he has many options I mean 33 years young is not that old and there are many people who reinvent themselves in their mid 30s and early 40s. He needs to go with his passions and find a new interest, because he could go into coaching but there would always be that stigma against him, in all probability. Most people have several talents in their armor. Jon Solly (27:56) became a cabinet maker. Todd Williams (27:33) martial arts. Jack Bacheler, entomology. Go with your passions.
Well that's an all-around bad situation...it's hard to give much credit to his "one-time and I got caught" but you can see where he's coming from I suppose.
PS - On a lighter not the thread title "Zane Robertson comes clean - why he choose to cheat!" follows in the long LRC "moran" tradition !

Zane has stated TWICE on public media that he transported the drug across the Ethipian/Kenyan border. Now he might say he was LYING in his interviews but the Kenyan police will then ask him WHERE HE GOT THE EPO if his public account was again a lie. This will show the Kenyan authorities making efforts to combat the drug situation in Kenya as Robertson would know all about systematic (or otehrwise) drug misuse in elite athletics in the Iten area.

I think if Zane got wind of the fact that he might be questioned by the authorities in Kenya a lawyer might advise him to leave the country until the heat dies down, at least temporarily, and it will eventually die down.
I’ll be succinct: he chose to cheat because he has a weak mind, low self-esteem, and a narcissistic moral compass.
Scrub this if you wish, but there it is. All else is noise.
Voila! There you have it. Also worth noting that if he were to make it to trial, he'd struggle to find character witnesses in the Iten area. He's the problem and should take this time to work on himself.

Sir, I'm not suggesting that Zane resorts to this but he could get plenty of character witnesses with compensation in a place like Iten. Just saying. Lawyers also know this. Reality.
