This is the most ignorant comment I've seen for a while. Union organizing (the foundation of all left-wing movements) is all about defending the rights of workers to to earn money.
I live in a notoriously poor paying state for teachers. Yet when I look at the public pay site many teachers are pulling in $90k plus per year plus benefits including two college room mates who I know exactly what they do. This seems about right. California sucks. Everyone wants to be paid like a public works director.
Proof that we arent paying teachers enough? The OP cant even comprehend what hes reading, the obvious result of a dozen or more poorly paid teachers that ruined his life and left him this bitter:
Tens of thousands of union workers in the Los Angeles Unified School District plan to go on strike for three days next week over stalled contract talks, forcing the temporary closure of schools, union leaders announced Wednesday. The strike was set to begin Tuesday. It was announced at a rally by the Service Employees International Union, which represents about 30,000 teachers’ aides, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers and other support staff.
So now Mr. OP, why don't you tell us what us what salary a teacher should get that would make you happy?

Definitely not 6 figures for 9 months of babysitting. Gone are the days where you can be a librarian and buy a home by the beach in CA. We should all follow their brave example. Angrily march into the corporate office Monday and demand a 30% raise or else.
Are these crybabies still complaining? Damn. 6 hr “work” days and 3 months off. Yeah six figures is unacceptable. Go away. Robots can do Zoom calls and out movies on.
Not true. Teachers are walking off the job for three days to support the janitors and lunch ladies.
Janitors and cafeteria workers are highly skilled positions and should be highly paid. 90k sounds about right.
every single worker should be paid a living wage. If they made 90k that would not impact you in the least. You are just one of those losers who uses their salary to feel superior to other people how have as much if nor more value than you ever will. GTFOH

I didn't think Marxists cared about money. Perhaps if they spent more time educating rather than indoctrinating teachers would be worth something.

That's not part of Rebecca Rothstein's Marxist curriculum in her North Bethesda Middle School class in the Montgomery County (MD) School District. She believes all people should be paid the same regardless of job or performance.

Hey look, another self proclaimed genius who doesn't understand basic economics. If teachers are overpaid, the job is easy, and only nine months of work - there would be a much greater supply for this amazing, overpaid, easy job, with a "short" working day.
"...two college room mates who I know exactly what they do."
Clap. Clap. You know "exactly" what NFL players, under water welders, and trapeze artists do. Can or should you become one of them? Do you want to become one of them?
You probably don't understand the above mentioned questions so I'll spell it out for your feeble mind. Knowing and experiencing things are very different. Multiply that experience by 180 days (X amount of years). Now can you do this over multiple years or for a career?
You can become a teacher since they are overpaid for an easy job and only work nine months out of the year. Let us know about your pension when you turn 65.
Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach. Those who can’t teach, coach.
Yeah coaches suck. Imagine how much their wives hate them? Male teachers are just as bad. Pedophiles usually. See Westview High in San Diego creep teacher story.

What is your point? My former room mates don't seem to have any regrets becoming teachers especially when they get their quarterly pension value in the mail. Remember, they don't live in California where every public employee expects to be a millionaire.

The point is you’re dumb. Your opinion is based on the anecdotal evidence of two roommates and doesn’t reflect the national supply of teachers.
“… they don’t live in California where every public employee expects to be a millionaire.”
This is another example of your limited IQ and ability to discern fact from fiction. Stop being jealous and get your credential or better yet, move to Florida. That state is in desperate need of teachers. Btw, it’s roommate - not room mate but can be room-mate in Oxford English form.
