Would mostly agree with this. Fox is a scam artist. He clearly used Bester to get his foot in the door with coaching. He needed to learn how to operate the business and try to get some athletes to get started. Now he’s doing his typical send 30+ harassing emails / messages so that he can intimidate everyone into not calling him out publicly. Bester has probably blocked him on a dozen accounts and is still being cyber-stalked by Fox.
Bester is free to charge whatever he likes. It’s up to the market to decide who is worth what. Is a sub elite runner guy few have ever heard of with no real experience worth £160/mo? Hard to say. But the best online coaches (ones that keep you uninjured and get you to PBs) charge 150-200/month commonly.
This is classic M.O. for Matt Fox.
1. Move to a new city or country. Find someone to scam. Charm their pants off.
2. Use them to get whatever business you’re currently focusing on (training, Vlogs, YouTube, podcasts, coaching) off the ground. Learn how they operate and are successful.
3. Copy or steal that idea.
4. Have a dramatic argument with that person because of NPD / an excuse to bail to a new country.
5. Harass the hell out of that person over the internet and try to weaponize people against each other. Burner accounts, fake emails, you name it.
6. Promise all sorts of great things “coming soon” on social media.
7. Run out of money because another venture failed.
8. Repeat with new victims.
This methodology is a similar one used with females. Restraining orders follow.
It’s easiest to evade criminal charges or civil suits when you hop countries every few months and never return.
