Will likely turn out he was a LetsRun regular. Most probably always vociferously attacking other posters as 'misogynists', 'creeps', 'neckbeards', 'incels', for expressing any views that aren't radical left.
Just the opposite. He is probably an individualist incel with a libertarian bent unable to connect with others. Being a criminology student, he likely fancied himself smarter and superior to everyone. I would not be surprised if this combination of traits spurred him to choose his victims as they represent everything that he was not: popular, fun, attractive, accepted.
Can you imagine if he had a Letsrun.com Tshirt on in his mugshot?
The Reddit CSI sloths would inundate this board immediately, only to be cut down downvotes, right wing truthbombs, lack of moderation favoritism. Would be a milestone of hilarity and 15 minutes of fame for LRC.
Just because some guy goes on the local news and claims to know the suspect/claims to have run with the suspect doesn't make any of it true.
Maybe some of you remember the David Eisenhauer/VA Tech situation. There was a nutjob who claimed he was best running buddies with Eisenhauer. He was a nutjob who ended up on the Letsrun boards posting ridiculous things about car racing.
Press in Pa talked to a guy who used to go on runs with him.
Friend said “I would text him and be like ‘Hey, you wanna go for a run?' We’d go for six/seven mile runs at night so when I saw who it was I was just like in complete shock, it was so close to home”
So far, I would rather be lead criminal defense attorney with an unlimited budget in this case than lead prosecutor. Obvious cases, defense attorney seeks a plea bargain. CNN makes it look so easy to prosecute. Defense has a lot to work with. I'm assuming this fella hasn't confessed guilt.

Waived extradition and will be in Idaho early next week. They must have a mountain of evidence against him.
He also asked if anyone else had been arrested in connection w the murder when they arrested him. What an odd admission of guilt, or at least association.

There are signed confessions with audio and video admission of guilty. Then there is what you considered admission of guilt. You gals & guys have too much faith in: Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon.

These days half the population minus the southern US (because they're lazy or dumb) is a "runner" at some point in their lives because you have all these people clout chasing or doing things whimsically, so completing a marathon is a prime bucket list addition for them.
