The highest-paid college football coaches have annual salaries that'll make anyone's head spin. The big question is, are they worth it? See the top-10 now.
He probably sticks around because he likes winning championships by coaching in flagstaff at a school that lets him use most, if not all, his scholarship allocations on distance runners. He's also bound to be getting a bit on the side from coaching Rupp and his wife.
Yeah he could take more money like Sean Carlson to go to a Tennessee like situation but no way he creates another dynasty at a non-distance focused school.
No way that is his total compensation. His peers earn $300K. Some earn $500K. He wouldn't stick around when he could get $400K elsewhere.
I would be interested to know what "peers" like Rob Conner at University of Portland and Pat Tyson at Gonzaga make. Because they are private Catholic schools, I bet it's more than Mike but still under $200k per year.

Anybody have info on assistants?
Certain schools need their commitment examined, this is silly. While many get bonuses and supplemental income that is not listed, a number of these are straight pay with weak bonus structures. BTW, you can pretty much clock success by these compensation numbers. There seems to be a correlation, imagine that
