Your math is not good. Valby and Stearns had the same 5000 PR in 2017 but Valby has a faster one today and will likley have a much faster one within 6 weeks.

A look at current top USA ladies would show that improvement between 22 and 23 is the biggest predictor of success. That and a fondness for tex-mex cuisine.
