Great way for Lancaster to redeem themselves after not winning Xc state. They could have won xc state if their 4/5 did better. Mason didn’t do their best at xc state so Lancaster could have taken advantage of that
You all are a bit crazy. This is Lancaster's race to lose.
1:55 - Thress
2:00 - Schorr
1:56 - Taylor
1:57? - T. Lanoy (no crazy open 800 times, since he doesn't run it. But dude has gone 4:18/9:17)
Gales go 7:40 this spring. Calling it now.
Lancaster is very good. Also should be an early favorite.
I think you are underestimating how fast 7:40 is.
Also, typically you don’t run 7:40 with 4 guys that can go under 1:55. It’s usually two studs who can run 1:50/1:51 consistently doing most of the work, and then two guys who can consistently run 1:57.
And then you have to put it all together on the right day.
Lancaster looked very very good this week. Maybe 7:40 could happen.

IF they all run PRs in the same race....
Thress - 1:53
Lanoy - 1:56 (Guessing his split was somewhere around here on Sat, given the 7:48 and Thress anchoring in 1:54)
Taylor - 1:56
Schorr - 1:59
So... 7:44-46.
7:40 would definitely take some magic, but they're not far off.
Are there any Ohio relay teams (distance or sprints) entered in either the New Balance or Nike meet this weekend? I’ve looked at the start lists but you can’t always tell by the team names since they’re not always the schools’ names.

Is Ohio a bit down this year in the sprints?
The national meets are turning unserious anyways. Instead of being elite meets with only the very best, they’ve become cash cows with way too many entries.
If it’s easier to make the National meet than the Indoor State meet, something is wrong.

Agree but aren’t there still qualifying standards to make the “championship” races? It seems like they classify them by “rising stars,” “championship,” etc.
The National XC meets seem a bit more difficult to make since they’re are qualifying regional meets.
Marlington did manage to get 2nd in the 4 x mile at New Balance which is seriously impressive. Dublin Jerome and Dublin Scioto both ran the 4 x Mile at New Balance, but with mediocre results. Medina also ran at New Balance with a mediocre performance, and Beaver Creek ran at New Balance with a subpar performance, both in the 4 x Mile.
at Nike Lancaster ran the 4 x Mile in a solid time of 17:39, capturing 4th. They also look to be running the 4 x 800 on Sunday at Nike.
Tommy Rice had a solid race in the 5k. Although it's going to be a tough path for Rice to repeat as state champ. If Ackley decides to go after the 3,200 at the state meet this year, I don't see anyone that can beat him. Eli Ilg from Jackson HS is someone to keep at eye on as well. Ran 9:08 indoors this year as a sophomore.
