Crazy amount of mental gymnastics here. They just won NXN by almost 100 points and scored the lowest amount of points in meet history (Obviously last year would have surpassed)
First time for Lex, but Lex jogged the last mile this time
We also so Doshi fall to the ground once this year 30m from end and jog it in quite a few times
Cantu lost 9 spots in the last quarter mile
Seymour was also dying regularly in the last 400m this season
…so it had pretty much been a constant all year.
The first time for Lex however

The point is that pretty much the whole team has suffered greatly in the last 400m of races. Most on more than one occasion. It’s just weird.
Leo pushed to gap everyone too early. Those last rolling kills can bonk you if you push too hard too early. Reminds me of Tuohy's last race on this course, she bonked on those rollers also just like Leo but held on. Aaron's race though was amazing. Went out super hard, dropped out of top 10. Then he surged to catch the lead, hangs around with Gorze and is a monster at the finish. Awesome for him, I bet Colin was excited.
As far as L & L not being on stage, I think Leo was making sure his brother was ok, Leo showed up on stage at the very end. Hope they areok.
How can she be better than KT when she ran slower on the same course than the course record KT still holds??? And don't try to use the wind as an excuse, Aaron took down Nico's course record in the wind.

Very surprised that the Youngs didn't factor the hills at the end into their race strategy.
Every year runners die at the end of NXN and also die on the big hill near the end of Footlocker. It's not like the Youngs weren't aware of all the other top runners having that same problem over the years with a hill at the end of a national championship xc race.
