Week 15: 3/5-3/11
Sunday-7.19 miles. AM-4.27 miles, (52:24/12:16) felt terrible. Called it quits and walked home. Hot. Couldn't breathe. I'm starting to think I might have allergies. PM-2.92 miles. (32:01/10:58) Went back out to get in the 7 miles. CENTR 6 W3D3. ATG A-day.
Monday-6.5 miles. AM-3.59 miles (43:26/12:07) Was supposed to do 4 but I quit again. WAY TOO HOT. PM-2.91 miles (35:44/12:17). CENTR 6 W3D4. ATG B-day.
Tuesday-2.6 miles. warmup. 4x.25(2:05, 2:04, 2:09, 2:15) 8xhills. CENTR 6 W3D5. ATG A-day.
Wednesday-3.55 miles. (42:49/12:03) Meant to do an evening run but ran out of time.
Thursday-1.08 miles. 9:03 mile TT. I really didn't plan on this but I started out too fast and then realized I could beat the 9:22 from my prior trials.
Friday-1 mile. Just ran a mile to keep the streak 10:05.
Saturday-2.21 miles. Warmup then 2 mile race. The race was actually 2.05 miles and I run the tangents so it's just long. I got horrible sleep bc my dog was not feeling well and he kept waking me up. When the race started I was already tired and my calves were tight.
My goal was to beat 20 minutes and I'm just not giving myself the check mark on this one but I did actually break 20 minutes AT TWO MILES. Race time: 20:04.4. Watch at 2 miles-19:39. This race finishes up the biggest effing hill and it killed my chances. I was pumping my legs and apparently going nowhere... that last .05 was 28 seconds. Strava linked up prior runs and shows my fastest time on this course in 2019 @ 16:13. I still have a long ways to go I guess. My legs were pretty wasted after this run and I took a 2 hour nap as soon as I got home. April's race is a 5k.
