So long story short, I got long COVID which kept me basically bed-ridden and unable to exercise at all for about 1.5 months. Prior to this, I was running 6 days a week without any issues. I'm just starting to try to exercise again and tried just walking at first. I'm trying to jog now, but I can barely jog 20 min at my old easy pace without my HR getting higher than it should be after the first 15 min. My legs also get sore after these easy jogs now which is a sensation I haven't felt in a long time. I find I even need to take the next day off to recover. Am I just really de-conditioned? How long will it take for me to get back to my former fitness?
