Rocco has only run the 1600 meters once this year and it was at altitude. The altitude conversion for this 1600 is 4:22. Pretty good for a 14 year old young freshman!
Coronado's group of 9th and 10th graders is better than last year's Cheyenne Mountain's group when they were 9th graders.
Seems like a legitimate assumption?
One of Coronado’s top sophs Briley Roth has been missing all year (except he ran 2 XC races. 15:55 at Liberty bell). Anyone know what happened to him? No track results at all
Is this true? RIP Coronado, they looked to have a solid team on the younger side. I am sure that their legend of a coach Lisa Rainsberger will be disappointed.

Yeah. But there are other teams with very good sophomore and under classes in the Southwest region too.
Almost all of Valor Christian’s varsity guys were sophomores last xc season. Only 1 junior and 1 senior.
Niwot has not only the best, but deepest sophomore and under class, so if 1 guy has an off day, it won’t hurt them at all.
Herriman UT now has Soles and has people coming out of nowhere all the time. They had a good showing by the sophomore class. They also have a solid freshman class coming in (mostly brothers of the studs currently on the team).
Corner Canyon UT has a solid program and always has guys coming out of nowhere. They will also most likely going to have 1 senior scoring this season which bodes well for 2024.
Mountain Vista CO is a great program coached by Dalby that always seems to reload and have many kids come out of nowhere. I expect that this coming season, this varsity team will mostly consist of nonseniors.
Mountain View UT made NXN and had 3 sophomores on that varsity roster.
Skyridge UT had 3 sophs under 4:39 in the 1600 and another guy that ran a 16:52 at Runninglane during XC
Cheyenne Mountain CO has some solid sophomore and freshman talent too. B Collins was midpack JV freshman year, and became the #2 runner sophomore year

It is true, even if the Brojos (BroHos?) and their delicate , selectively attentive, moderators keep removing my posts. lol.
I get it, some truth comes to this troll fest, and that violates the terms of service. Got it...

Any incoming stud freshmen joining Coronado next year?
Purely speculation at this point but USATF JO National Champ and 4:36 8th grader Oliver Horton has been working with Kokopelli for a while now. He currently attends Discovery Canyon, which is about 10 miles north of Coronado.
Campos and Pontius both choiced into Coronado as 9th graders and are driving from farther away than Horton would need to; it's reasonable to assume that he will go to there as well.
Regardless, Coronado will be a force to be reckoned with.

His bio lists CHS’27.
He also follows and is followed by the Coronado XC / track page and some guys currently on the team
