Maybe. Never saw race timing jump of the rails like that.
I think timing was odd a year ago here as well
For example it had a bunch of athletes at 7 minutes for the first K and had Cook at 176 at 4k and no split for 5k. Technical glitch of some type.
That clears it up.
NAU women had the most depth today, surprisingly. Best 5-7 runners. In fact their 6th finished ahead of Stanford’s 3rd.
They have the pieces. They have not run well at Nationals lately but the pieces are there.
This timing site is garbage.
Men's timing also missing some splits
It looks like whenever a split was missed the next split took its place. So Cook's 7:07.3 1K split is really her 2K split which would put her in 5th place at that point. The 17:02.5 would be her 5K split (not 4K) which would put her in 3rd place at 5K.
Based on this it looks like Hutchins was in around 25th place at 5K and then blew up again.
Ok state was missing Taylor roe
Today? Do you mean the Taylor Roe who finished 2nd?
That makes sense.
Hutchins will need a year to get back from injury.
Byu 7th man in before everyone else's 5th
It's good to see Taryn O'Neill running well.
Taylor Ewert does not seem to be back. her HS team mate, Savannah Roark of Syracuse, was impressive taking 9th in 20:37.3.
Colorado needs to find their back end. Graduate transfer from D3 Johns Hpkins, Ella Baran, ran well in her first D1 race taking 17th in 20:46.
I am not sure that I trust these results with all of the glitches.
I would not have expected to see Natalie Cook defeat the experienced Taylor Roe today. WOW….
BYU looked great. Even with Quax and Hasty it would’ve been very close between NAU and BYU (though NAU would likely have won, they wouldn’t have scored much under 75). Joey Nokes looks like a surprise All-American. Should be a great battle in November.
But Stanford sat Robinson who would probably have placed very high
Stanford also looks very good. 2nd without Ky Robinson who was 15th last year. Thomas Boyden looks like he could be an All-American this year. I'd say NAU, BYU, and Stanford all look like they have a shot at the team title in November. OSU performance was somewhat disappointing, they don't look very deep.
