Great run by hoare. Cannot wait for coffee club. Host of PB’s throughout the field. Amazing how much centro winning gold as guy what was prob 6-10th best guy has changed championships 1500 running - will prob last another 5 years till people forget!
Err, or super shoes have. Seriously, Centro was a lot faster than people give credit. He ran a 3:49 solo and well past his peak.
I suspect if he were 25 today (and wearing today's spikes), he'd be right up there with Hoare, Kerr, Wightman, etc.
Don't hate on HIM that the 2016 finals were so slow. He won. What the hell does he care?
Great performance by Ollie and Tim! What a race! But I must also say: incredible filming, and what an incredible stadium with a big loud crowd! Can we have the WC there in the near future?
Hey, does anyone know why Josette Norris has dropped off a bit this year? Has her training situation switched? Long covid? Seemed like she was rolling well during indoor track.

Wightman went from British to Scottish in a fortnight.
With the Europeans starting in little more than a week's time I'm actually surprised so many British athletes with medal aspirations turned out in Birmingham.
Scottish is British just as Welsh and English are British too.
There's a reoccurring English joke - that if a Scotsman does something good, he's British, but if he does something bad, he's Scottish.
You, and the 11 other people that upvoted your post, clearly didn't get the joke.

Of course. For the Olympics there is a UK team, not separate teams for England, Scotland Wales and NI. So he is British for the Olympics. For the Commonwealth games, Scotland, Wales and NI all feature separate teams as members of the Commonwealth.

You couldn't make it up, only on LetsRun by forum experts.
Fantastic run from Ollie Hoare. Him and Tim were both running on pure hate at the end there.
Great performances from Heyward and Giles. They only showed the top 6 times, but I assume Matthew Stonier must have had a massive pb as well. Wonder what happened to Josh Kerr?
3:32 for Stonier. Amazing run for the kid
So it wasn't a slow "sub-par" track and it wasn't "breezy".
Pure release of emotion from Oli at the end. That must’ve felt good. Stoked for him. Joins Herb Elliot as the only Aussie to win 1500 comm games- not bad company!
