Fantastic run from Ollie Hoare. Him and Tim were both running on pure hate at the end there.
Great performances from Heyward and Giles. They only showed the top 6 times, but I assume Matthew Stonier must have had a massive pb as well. Wonder what happened to Josh Kerr?
He definitely learned from his mistakes at Worlds. Didn't jostle for position early on. Just sat in and got a nice tow around; saved as much as he could for the final straight.
Wightman went from British to Scottish in a fortnight.
With the Europeans starting in little more than a week's time I'm actually surprised so many British athletes with medal aspirations turned out in Birmingham.

The top 6 all ran quite well. Wightman didn’t have the benefit of the Kenyans/Jakob wasting energy throwing surges at each other. Thus Tim had a Kick and he’s nearing his old form. Oli timed his kick perfectly. Huge PBS for Heyward and Tanner. Kipsang ran well but he’s going to have to work on his finish in these faster races. Wightman not a bad follow-up at all.

Kerr is done. Probably also an age cheat, doping since age 8 and maybe in fact even a Kenyan? He will not win another big race.
Hoare had a strong chance of medaling especially in a fast race. He had a bad semi and hasn’t run too many 3:37-3:39 races so his strategy was poor. I hope he stays healthy for next year.
Great run by hoare. Cannot wait for coffee club. Host of PB’s throughout the field. Amazing how much centro winning gold as guy what was prob 6-10th best guy has changed championships 1500 running - will prob last another 5 years till people forget!

Something obviously up with Kerr, maybe covid or injury. He turned down a place in the Euro Champs GB team which would be ridiculous if he was in full health
Fantastic race, the 1500m is always a treat. Great for Olli to fulfil his potential and bring home the gold. Tim looked sharper than before, I think when (if) he overcomes the hamstring problems that has plagued him for well over a year now he'll be back to his old form.

3:32 for Stonier. Amazing run for the kid
Yep, and still only 20. And Jake Heyward almost sub 3:31. Not long turned 23 and you'd think has quite a bit of possible improvement. Amazing the competition for places will be for Paris 2024 GB team if everybody is healthy, and Ethan Hussey and perhaps another talent might be at that level by then too.
