If their other two returners from state come back then it could be interesting. If this is all they’ve got their #4 is a 16:22 guy, Mason had 8 guys faster than that today.
I was there racing D2..it was very hot for those D1 races after.. and both boys and girls were very low key and small meets compared to D3 and D2 and not too many strong teams so it looked very Non/competitive but the Avon girls looked super strong D1 and Shelby and Lexington boys bumped up to D1 and were solid.
Maybe the published results for Trinity will eventually be fixed but they're messed up now.
Athletic.net makes no distinction between Louisville St X and Cincy St X. The're all listed as St Xavier (KY). The team results are also listed that way. I assume that 2nd place was Cincy St X and 4th place was Louisville St X.
Even though I use the same device most of the time. I get messages something like "someone else is already using this username" or "this username is being used on a different device. Just really annoying. I've just been adding periods to the same username. I sure as hell don't want to register here.
I don't know if we learned a lot this week as there weren't a lot of head-to-head matchups among the top teams. Medina lost to a team from PA, it looks like they were missing their #1 runner but it wouldn't have mattered. Lancaster has a pretty good 1-5 spread but it's not clear how fast their top 3 are compared to other teams. Hil. Davidson had a nice race in MI but still hasn't found a 4-5 runner. Loveland ran in AL, not sure what to make of their race. Springboro still running well. I'm not sure if there's a clear #2 team but I made a few changes to how I see things:
I like this list a lot, but I would move St. Xavier up to at least #4. They're too dangerous if they pull it all together.
I also agree with your statement, it's really hard to make sense of how good everyone is when they aren't racing against each other or not racing all their guys.
The 5 best teams in region 3 right now. I'm PUMPED that HD is rumored to be there. They look good but vulnerable with their 4-5. Coffman doesn't look great outside of Shaughnessy. Lancaster wins if the Lanoys run well. Kilbourne will be back at full strength. Gabelman didn't run last Saturday, so I think it's accurate. If he gets healthy in time(unlikely), WNorth will contend, but I'm unsure of how they stand after Cedarville. Frankly, none of their guys ran well. Bracken 16:36, everyone else in between 17:05 and 17:30. Certainly not a great showing, but we'll see. Assuming Gabelman IS injured, mr prediction goes:
1. Lancaster
2. Hilliard Davidson
3. Kilbourne
4. Coffman
5. Westerville North
I think any of the top 3 can win with this scenario, we'll just have to wait and see.
Lancaster (still haven't raced anyone of note... but they're tough on those hills)
Dublin Coffman (looking better... Shaughnessy was top 10 at Mich St)
Westerville North (is Gabelman really injured? Any info here?)
Kilbourne (will be back at full strength after losing to DeSales and Gahanna on Sat)
Hilliard Davidson (at least that's the rumor. We'll see!)
Even without Davidson that should help give a better idea of where Lancaster fits in the Ohio pecking order. I disagree with an earlier post about moving St. Xavier to #4, from what they've shown so far I wouldn't put them ahead of any of the teams I have them behind. If they get some guys back that certainly changes the equation but it's hard to objectively rank teams based on speculation.

I love it. We don't get enough races like this.
Same. HIlls are steep, the grass will be long, times won't matter.
Racing! It'll be interesting to see if anyone can hang with Ackley till the end, or if he'll just run away from people from the gun. With Shaughnessy, McGraw, Smith, Gabelman, Miller, Boyd, the Lanoy bros, etc, all in play.... these are some of the better individuals in the state.
