What are people in Ohio looking forward to seeing this fall? Is it just the behemoth Mason & their 250 runners and then everyone else on the boy's side? What individuals will be fighting for top 10 spots? Any new up and comers to pay attention to?

Connor Ackley will win.
Hilliard Davidson got 3 scorers back. Needs a 4/5 to get second.
It would be interesting to see if St Xavier bounces back. They are a solid program that won a state title before and returns 5 guys.

Hi, Ben. Ackley will smoke you by a good minute and a whole slew of guys will be in front of you.

Dub Coffman not Hilliard davidson

I think one of the questions was “What individuals will be fighting for top 10 spots?”. Not just who will win.
Ben Gabelman is certainly gonna be fighting for the top 10 spots.
Davidson is gonna get smoked, that program on the boys side is a shadow of its former self. The guys just got too distracted with a lot of unhealthy habits. Dublin Coffman and mason are very strong teams. I’m sure there are other teams im forgetting. Some of the top 10 off the top of my head are Connor ackley (clear favorite), Saketh rudraju, Sam richutti, Ben gabelman, Liam shaughnessy, will McGraw, etc. I’m sure I misspelled some of those names. Gonna be a great season all around
Don't sleep on St X. They only lost 2 of 7 that ran at the state meet and they always reload. What do teams in the north have? Louisville, Iggy's, Ed's, Jackson, Mentor, Glen Oak, and Medina? All were top 15 last season. Do they have anyone coming back? What about Lancaster? They were also top 15. Mason is the clear favorite in D1 but the other spots seem to be up for grabs.
What about D2? Woodridge was a bit disappointing last season but was still 2nd in the state. A few years ago Woodridge was one of the best in any division and they always seem to reload. Marlington was pretty dominant last season and probably would have been top 5 in D1.

Man I dont know about that one. Ackley is the favorite, but I watched Gabelman run 4:12 this past spring as a soph. Seems Central OH is pretty loaded on the boy's side in D1. Another poster listed some prominent names, and I'd add Ryan Smith and Steven Miller from Kilbourne & the Lanoy triplets from Lancaster to that list.
I live in Mason & watch the guys practice everyday. They aren't looking too strong. A slew are injured. Sure, they have depth (unbelievable, practices clog up the whole high school) but they graduated a strong class of runners. They are vulnerable.

Mason is the clear favorite, Mas. Jackson and St. X will battle for second.
My highschool's mile record holder from the 70s is always at alumni events. He says after all these years he still hates Mentor. Me too man.
Any team or runners looking promising in D3?

Dub Coffman actually returns 3 scorers + a 9:55 and 4:47 guy who did not run at state last year. So they will be able to put together a good top 5.
Another question….
Will there be any boys teams that go to NXN from Ohio?
I suspect this won’t be the case. Or at least, it will be really hard to do.
Indiana’s Center Grove and Carmel are really good.
Brebeuf Jesuit Prep has a really good top 3 back, and they always seem to find a solid 4 and 5 at the end of the season.
Mason will be hard to beat tbh. They won state last year and return 4 guys + a 9:34 guy / a 4:30 guy who did not run.
Also, I just noticed that they RETURN 5 guys who have run a sub-16 5K. That’s really good.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they qualify to NXN but again, but it will be a stiff competition against those Indiana teams. I think they are even with Carmel so they will have the ability to beat them.
Kickapoo MO is a really solid team with their whole varsity being seniors.
This team looks interesting and seems to have some potential…..

Yeah I mixed up the names.
But Davidson returns a 9:45 who didn’t score at state.
They got a solid top or even top 7. I think they will be really good again.

Marlington returns the best group of 3200 times of all the teams actually
