Jon Entine once wrote that if Americans were not represented by blacks, they would end up behind Ecuador in the medal standings. I have always wondered why Americans are not surprised that many small European countries can produce athletes in events, in which US whites haven't had a decent representative for many decades, and why these small countries don't need blacks to finish before Ecuador. Even across the ocean, I can see that US whites immediately vacate every sport that blacks enter in big numbers. And the most grotesque thing is that they subsequently invent every possible biological explanations for such participation shifts.
It is not a racist myth. The numbers say that their talent for long distance running is real. They are short, ectomorphic, with slender calves and excellent running economy, and as I wrote in my previous post (which only few people may have read because it is soooo long, I know), their height/BMI relationship fits the height/BMI relationship in distances above the 3000 m. But I think that even on a "level playing field", they would not perform as well as expected because technology and coaching in Western countries is simply far superior. Understandably, even the best coaching and the best technology will be beaten by a single EPO injection.
Personally, I am not particularly worried about their dominance in long distances because Europeans have simply grown out of the typical physical dimensions of long distance runners and I don't see anything positive on being 170 cm tall (which was the norm in Europe 100 years ago). Europeans should concentrate on the 400 m-1500 m range, where they have the biggest advantage in the global competition. And if you read my previous posts, you know that the current ethnic composition in the 400-800 m has nothing to do with real athletic abilities.
Guatemala has the highest percentage of doping cases in the world (every tenth one is positive). This is a fact reported by a recent WADA 2019 REPORT, which suggests that the advance of exotic countries previously unknown in athletics should be viewed with big caution.
Point out what was racist. I define racism as negative judgments about a person or group solely or mostly because of their race, with no reasoning, or clearly specious reasoning.
The lengths you will go to give support to the likes of Aden and Pineda, to use selective 'science' reporting to justify the dangerous racist myth of Kenyan genetic differeneces that mask the evil exploitation of young East Africans, and all because of your fetishistic love of watching them dominate the track. Disgusting.

The fact that Luis from Guatemala placed 4th confirmed what I have believed. Champions are everywhere.

It is not as simple as looking at the figures unfortunately, some countries just handle bogus testing
It is also important to notice that a short mean population height can be offset by a high variance (like every measurements BTW). Meaning that the closer you go to the extremes, the more a large gap can be offset.
But given that short height goes hand in hand with small height variance, this really does not help.
The relatively strong left-skewness during the late 19th and early 20th centuries may have been due to the interaction of a number of causes, chiefly malnutrition, a wider range in physical development at age 19 and widesprea...

This was already debated here and proven to be false

It is something that generations of athletes were dreaming about. The 400 m used to be such a nasty, discriminating event... You couldn't virtually compete if you were less than 180 cm tall (unless you could compensate your h...
In poor countries with high social inequality (which is typical especially of the Arab world and which was undoubtedly typical of Europe 150 years ago), the standard deviation is wider because there is a large difference between the rich ones and the poor ones. But do you think that someone from the small minority of the rich ones would pick up sports as a life career? You would certainly find such cases but I believe that hardly anybody would prefer sports during which they would sweat a little more than a maid in their villa.
And what was said about the 400 m is true. All the recent champions are from countries, where doping drugs are consumed like candies. (Look, how many doping cases have South Africa and Botswana.) In this case, factors such as height naturally recede to the background. BTW, we know Maslak quickly hit a limit and has been running slower and slower every year.

Should I remember the 70-85 millions peoples of Europe perishing some 75 years ago? What kind of inequality is this?
The 800m, requiring both raw speed and a high aerobic capacity is not dominated by any geographical area in particular. Interestingly plenty of mixed race top performers, J Cruz, A Juantorena, D Brazier, N Tellez, etc

Kenyans have clearly dominated the 800m more than Americans have dominated the 100m.
