Frankly she's just painful to watch; if I was a deep pocketed sponsor I honestly wouldn't care how fast she is. Her on track persona is incredibly unattractive; just robotic.
It’s not the first time that she does not look happy at all after winning the race and smashing the world record. This is really painful to watch. Also after breaking the WR in June she did not even mention it on her Instagram account - of course having a Social media profile does not mean you have to share every single win, but well, breaking a WR is maybe something worth mentioning?
There is considerable research showing that the hurdles, because of the extreme force coming down on the foot, really extenuates the already, strong advantage given by the carbon fiber plate flex in the new shoes. It's a good part of the story, especially when you consider all runs/races in these events and how times overall have dropped considerably, mens and womens.

I can't be the only person that finds this refreshing. She is obviously introverted and reserved and does not thrive on social media. The thing is with her is that she doesn't need that because she is that good. This is who she is and I can't wait to see her in the open 400.
Sydney is a great 400m hurdler and 400m runner. Great on relays too. No need to cut down Anna Hall. Anna is a premier heptathlete. A little more work on her shot and javelin and Anna joins Sydney as a gold medallist.
Yes I like to see a WR holder like Sydney who is incredible at what she does and respectful of her opponents. She wins and leaves things at that. Any sponsor would be fortunate to have her on their team.
Amazing, amazing performance. I'm surprised at all the comments about her affect; I think she was overwhelmed by what she had just done. Hats off to her!!!
Her reaction was far outside the spectrum of normal, fatigue or not. She looks to be severely depressed.
I think she is just severely focused. Her demeanor is not nearly as disturbing of that of the great Russian high jumper Mariya Lasitskena. I just believe both of these athletes are simply highly focused in their work and this is how they get it done.
Anyway, this was such an awesome performance. We were expecting something special but seeing her huge lead coming down the homestretch was absurd to the point of religious experience. I'm glad that the mascot character approached her as she was laid out after finishing as that kind of snapped her out of her spell and made her smile.
The expectations being placed on this young lady will continue to mount. I just hope that it doesn't crush her or lead to injury.
