I’m not sure the 144-114-113-108-97 that FM put up at NYSPHAA is really any better than what Bethlehem did yesterday. You want to remove Kaercher so I guess it would actually be 144-114-113-97-92. I don’t think that will get by Bethlehem. I would definitely rather have my 4-5 at 109-109 than 92-97 especially in the NXN field.
Also I think the only NY team that would get an at large if they missed the AQ would be Saratoga. I doubt they will but if some disaster happened I think they would get a pass to try to defend. If NY#3 is Bethlehem, FM, or Northport they will not because there are already three top 20 teams who failed to earn an AQ (including two in the top 10, one of them being US#2 Flower Mound). Then there is the issue that California always seems to feel they deserve at least one if not two at larges and they do have three teams in the top 17. So there just won’t be an at large available for NY#3.
I wonder how at-large prospects are looking this year in the Southwest
on both the boys and girls side, #3 team finished so far behind the #2 team

This is true... but Bethlehem has been trending downward since mid-season. It's certainly close enough on paper to show up and race.
It would take a pretty specific disaster for Saratoga to get an at-large bid, considering that they would easily win the Regional without their top 2 runners. Any calamity that would keep them out of the top 2 teams at the Regional would likely keep them out of the top 4 teams as well. They can't get an at-large if they finish 5th or worse.
FM would get consideration for an at-large bid with a 3rd-place finish. Probably not warranted, since they didn't compete in any of the high-level meets during the season, but name recognition and their relationship with Nike would give them a big leg up.
plus, they aren't even coming to the Regionals
Could the same be said of FM too? It seems the meet that the girls peaked for was the Chittenango Invy.
Predictions on who will qualify for NXN on the boys side?
Corning should qualify. For the 2nd team... it's going to come down to the "shape" of the field, i.e. are there more team finishers between M-W's 2nd guy and St A's 1st guy, or between St A's 5th guy and M-W's 4-5 guys. FM not entering their boys team helps St. Anthony's.
I think St A's top guy is going to have to run faster than 16:47 for them to qualify - barring horrible weather, of course.
I wouldn't be surprised if Saratoga's guys show a lot better than they did at Feds.
Why are New York and Northeast entries on the same page?
Made it look like those regions are combined
Anyways, no FM on either side. Only Otis, McGinn and Sullivan are entered

I agree that Corning will win this region. Second place should be a toss up between MW and St A
I noticed that there was a more than 10 second gap between each MW scorer at Feds. Would be great to see MW qualify since they never have before.
I don’t know what is going on with Jibb, but if he’s healthy, it will make St A even harder to beat MW
I think that MW, St A and Saratoga are very hungry for that second spot this year since all of them are lead by a strong group of seniors and will be taking some heavy graduation hits after this year
I can see Saratoga performing better than at Feds. They were missing Yuhasz and Pasek, and Bernd did not perform as well as expected. Not sure if they will qualify but they will make the battle between them, St A and MW very interesting
I think Otis, Mcginn and Sullivan will all qualify.
Sullivan is definitely going
On the guys side only 1 FM person will qualify but not both
Gilstrap will be top 5, so hopefully MW will qualify. If they do, not only will it be their first time, it will also allow another individual to go.
If McMahon makes it that would be cool. He was #1 preseason. Talarico could too if he bounces back
I also think Otis will beat McGinn. He did at state, and there won’t be a next year for Otis, but there will be for McGinn
This is dyestat official now
Looks like 2 of FM’s top girls are nursing injuries
This is straight factsimus

Actually, we can swap McMahon out for Maximus Haynia
As always, props to someone who puts himself on the line with actual predictions.
Anybody care/have thoughts about the "Champs" meet? Their regional is also this Saturday.
