Flu bug hits the Southern Section. Uh oh.
It's not the flu, I had it and it went through my school like 2 months ago. It wouldn't leave my system for a month and doctors couldn't tell if it was an infection or virus. I think it was something along the lines of chronic sinusitis. It's completely decimating south bay schools right now and maybe some others. You can tell what it is by this really deep cough and then you have this residual congestion that takes forever to clear.
Where are live results for south section?
Is Anthony Fast Horse (4th in Div 2 SS) the coolest name in US running (ever?)
American fork has a guy named Chase Pack in the top 5. He just started his first ever NXR championship race
Lol
so Chase Pack may follow Fast Horse at NXN
Lincoln's top runner was going to win the race, then out of nowhere made a wrong turn onto the grass to where the finish line had historically been. He had to duck back under two rows of flags to get back on the course and finish 3rd.
I was happy to see our team finally crack the rankings
Albany (NCS D4) is grossly underrated. Unless their last two races have been on short courses that were downhill the whole way, they should contend for a podium
NP used Schohn and Guevara instead of Cantu and Schetty as their 6/7. Was coach resting them?

I doubt it. My guess is flu. Rich Gonzalez had posted about the flu hitting a number of teams.
Chase Pack’s team (American fork dominated this) and return everyone except for their #6.
Doug Soles’ new team made NXN for the first time ever
San Clemente and Venture run the same exact average times, both 15:27 although San Clemente didn't have NP making it a faster race
Mt Sac Course record survives the Newbury Park dynasty. It's too bad one of their runners didn't go all out one time in the last few years of running the course, but its understandable given the low stakes there.

Chase pack finished 1s behind Rocco Culpepper
Granada beats Redwood at NCS 48 to 71

Matthew Donis ran 14:35 in Div 1 (faster than Youngs’ 14:38), so you can’t say that Div 1 race was slower.
BTW: Great progression for Donis in 2022. He ran 15:07 in the same race last year and was only 21st at the State Championship last year. He may have a shot at the podium this year.
What happened to Brett Ephraim from SC?
He was their #2 at the beginning of the season
today he was their seventh
What are your predictions for the CIF merge?
Boys

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
