His gaffes are becoming more frequent; it really takes the viewer out of the race when he starts rasping out random names during the final lap. They need to either replace him or have him be secondary announcer to Cram.
I usually like him, but he was all over the place in the 5,000. Kemboi sat in 3rd pretty much the whole race and he screwed up ID'ing him oddly. Then he couldn't figure out the athlete refugee and his name is pretty easy to spot.
And you couldn't figure out which event it was-not 5,000. Give Tim a break!

Rai is going to have a hard time with him! Dos Santos is going to be in 46.5 shape and we'll see if Rai can get there with all of his interruptions in training.
The best female Kenyan steeples run for Kazakhstan and Bahrain. It's bizarre because no other Kenyan event class is doing that at this moment besides NCAA runners who represent the USA through WCAP.
Yes the Country of Kazakhstan is becoming a little power in the Steeple an 8:57 by Norah Jeruto and now Jepkemei
Used to seeing the Kenyans running for oil rich Bahrain, and which was relatively not too odd to see being that Bahrain is not too far from Kenya. Kazakhstan? Why? So far from Kenya..in the middle of central Asia, close to Siberia...full of Kazakhs, Russians, and Germans, and one Jewish English comedian.
OMG the refugee runner Lobalu! That's an absolute stunner.
That was simply astonishing from Lobalu! It does also bode well for Kiplimo, probably. With no track races this year until today, and racing the shortest he really does, I think he can still be a factor at 5000 and 10000 seeing his race today.
Also we should note that that Kiplimo performance is bad news for Fisher in the 10,000. Was thinking he might not have to worry about Kiplimo, Aregawi (only in 5,000) and maybe Kandie (still TBD). But now he will go off as underdog vs. Cheptegei, Kiplimo, Barega and then on semi-even terms with Worku and Ahmed probably.
Men's 800m coming up soon. Will Korir return to top 800m form after his great 400 in Nairobi? Interested to see Moula, who can close really strongly, plus the French pairing of Robert and Tual as well.

Errr, no. No way this is a concern for Fisher in any way. Maybe if he ran 7:25. I don' think there's anyone that is clearly better than him now. Just no.
