Can someone stop with this nonsense of a) He hasn't raced enough b) He only time trials.
I defended him in another thread and will defend him here.
Hocker raced the biggest US indoor race of the year - Millrose and then went to USAs and did the damn double. The #1 best way really the only way for a pro to practice tactical races is to go to USA Indoors and he did that. Outdoors, he raced everyone at the USATF distance classic and then ran in the most compeitive mile of the year in Pre.
Prios to USAs, this year, Cole Hocker had raced at 8 different events this year. Prior to last year's Olympic Trials, he had raced at 10 different events. Yes, when he went to an event last year, he did more doubles, etc. But when Matthew Centrowitz won Olympic gold in 2016, he went into the US Trials having had run at 9 different events.
Cole's racing is not light. It's normal. He's finished 10 races already this year. Jakob Ingebrigtsen has finished just 7 .
The irony is people are mad he wasn't racing more and now it's come out he's been hurt.
