Posted on her instagram story - can't share a link but maybe someone more tech savy can.
Posted a picture in her story with a geo-tag just north of Salt Lake, so presumably in the state doing altitude training with BTC despite the blow up that Gabriela+Lucia Stafford leaving caused the other month.
Time was 2:03.47 for an 800m time trial.
Can't believe that after all that last month, BTC said absolutely nothing, Houlihan claims to feel bad about making people feel uncomfortable, and then the group keeps on doing this.
I'm not on strava - is she still posting on there?
Oh look -- another Shelby thread.
Some of you are really obsessed, like stalkers, following her on Instagram and Strava.
If her training is permitted by WADA, isn't the USA a free country?
You are obsessed by every Shelby thread on this site and can't help documenting every thought of the lrc community.
This strikes me as very sad. Her friends and family need to stage an intervention. It’s time for her to deal with reality and move on with her life. Sure, she can continue to run if she wishes, but following BTC around, training near them, if not with them, and posting in this way suggests she’s delusional or worse. This does not seem like an existence for the next few years that is in her best interest, truly.
I’m more just struck by her choosing to share this result. 2:03.47 is wholly unimpressive. I guess she’s trying to be relatable (see: I died) or show the ups and downs of training.

Maybe she has close relationships with people in the club, such that staying/living/training with them is what she wants to do, and what they want her to do. Maybe people in the club ARE like friends and family.

if that is true , for the next 3 years , are there tearful good byes every time the un- sanctioned btc athletes go off to race professionally , and Shelby returns to her camper van. how old will that get after another year of this ?
Why do all you men hate on Houlihan so much compared to other dopers? Not even Lance Armstrong got this much hate. Is it because Houlihan is a woman?
Despite her claims to the contrary, it seems like Shelby is displaying a pattern of defying the rules. I think its this juxtaposition that people find interesting.
She comes off of her ban in January 2025 and I have no issues with her training on her own or with an informal group. She is certainly within her rights to stay motivated, fit, and to compete again at that time. That said, BTC is not doing themselves any favors by allowing her to train in such close proximity and it is going to taint others. The Staffords were wise to leave in that regard.
My obsession is much broader, and not just specific to Houlihan.
Ross Tucker wrote 9,000 words, so 10,000+ seems about right.
Maybe there are countless ways, but why? It looks like gossip. I don't know who "shelbo800" is.
Do you have more than zero evidence?
Is there evidence that her training is breaking any rules? The rules talk about not participating in the Olympic movement and not using Olympic funds and resources -- banned athletes have to make private arrangements.
Is there an association ban which puts other athletes and coaches at risk? I think the only risk and consequence is that Houlihan's ban could be extended, but otherwise, no one in the Olympic movement, or fans in group-chats, or followers of Instagram and Strava, are harmed by her training.
Is there evidence that ingesting a small quantity of nandrolone, from any source, could help a distance athlete? I understood the bio-availabilty of ingested nandrolone is quite small, with most of it filtered out on first-pass.
If there is no evidence either way, most of these posts are just public expressions of personal bias.
Can anyone explain why they are obsessed with her training?
I bet you wrote more than 10,000 words in Shelburrito threads.
Can you explain why you think "they" are obsessed with her training?

You do realize most rich people cheat on their taxes and we don't get anywhere as mad at them.
Shelby training with BTC isn't affecting anyone and least of all would affect any manly LRC poster. Let her keep herself busy running, she is not doing any competitions and it is good for her mental health to keep running with some people she knows. Even Lance Armstrong is still riding bikes with other active racers even though he is life time banned, even with former US Postal team mates and coaches who all doped.
Let Shelby do her thing and all you misogynist leave her alone.
Good point. Could she coach BTC? She probably needs the income. Or is the ban for anything in organized (national or international) track and field athletics?
Does anyone actually think that this was a rogue act of doping? I seem to recall during Houlihan's AR time trial she was running with her buddy and work out partner Karissa Schweizer who PR'ed by 19 seconds. Schweizer was just as doped up.
Can you cite the rule he'd be breaking to bring about said punishment?
that is the problem, he is not punished because there is no rule (that we know of EVEN THOUGH THERE SHOULD BE!!!)
So you answered your own question. There's no rule to cite and would be difficult to enforce. Much like a banned major league baseball player can receive "coaching" from a major league coaching staff yet compete in non-affiliated pro baseball, Houlihan can be coached by anyone and compete in events not sanctioned by the governing bodies which banned her.
In other words....who cares? Any results she would put up will not count within the confines of the governing bodies who banned her.
Can you explain why you think "they" are obsessed with her training?
No. I honestly can't explain why anyone cares if she trains with BTC, if it complies with the ban.
Its quite understandable that you dont get why active athletes should distance themselves from banned athletes, given how you gloss over this case. Its about morals.
Ps: You don’t need to reply with an essay, they are quite boring, poorly structured and have weak arguments.

Indeed it is and her friends are sticking by someone they have every reason to believe is not a cheat.Very high moral stance. Loyalty much to be admired.
