I heard McDougal is going for an auto qualifier in the 5k this weekend at Liberty (pacemakers all set up)... how easy will 13:51 be for him do you think?

"Evan, Jarvis and Drew all accompanied me for a good portion of the run. They are still training until December 2 like myself where we will be running a indoor 5k at our meet in hopes of getting some qualifiers for Conference, IC4A, etc off of our XC fitness. That way we can take our break, and then train base through early indoor season, and not have to worry about racing fast until March. I believe that there will be a few W&M guys running in the race as well.
He has a shot but it's not going to be as easy as one might think. If he does I hope he cool's his heels in regards to banging out the races week in and week out.If I was that kid I would hit my time and focus just on winning the 5000m at Indoors. He should pick two or three meets such as Notre Dame,Boston, and Arkansa , run the mile and 3000m and rock & roll at nationals.
That's just my two cents sitting all alone in the cheep seats getting a nose bleed,ha,ha,
Oh yea being a Jesus freak is just alright with me.
Cheerio!

Respectfully, try reading more of the thread. My above post states his reason for this race:

As long as it isn't too windy at the race. Last year at the Big South Conference Outdoor meet he ran 14:08 in the wind by himself lapping all but the Kenyan from Coastal Carolina and he also ran a nice tempo during the 10K two days before. I think with even a little comp and someone pacesetting this will be easy
I didnt know Liberty had an indoor track. When i went there 3 years ago they didn't.
it was just recently built. i believe this will be the track's first season.
So when is the race and where will results be posted? I didn't see anything about it on the Liberty website.
to insult someone by calling them a "jesus freak" is absurd! you need to grow up! maybe go to church and get yourself some Jesus!
They had the track last year and ran some meets on it. Its in the old Ericsson building from what I understand. I think they are doing some renovations to the place to make it more suitable to hosting meets. From what I hear its a pretty decent 4 lane mondo surface.

Did I miss something? It usually isn't very windy when I run on an Indoor Track.
liberty's used to be a wind tunnel and they haven't eliminated the massive air force fans at the one end
SO when does indoor season officially begin and you alloud to get a qualifying time?
