how have they held up after soles left?
how have they held up after soles left?
Still pretty solid by almost any standards.
9 under 4:30 and 12 under 10:00 so far this spring (including two at 9:04).
They beat everyone but Newbury Park at the state cross country meet this fall. Seventh at Garmin Runninglane. (15:17 avg).

I don't think there's anyone at that level on the team Soles coaches now. Must be hard to think about rebuilding what he had.

where is soles coaching now?
he isn't due to the woke culture in hs sports
If Great Oak slips into mediocrity, maybe should start calling it Okey D'Oak.
It's not the sport it's the area of the high school. Fret not he should have no trouble finding a place where he can be a proud red neck.

It would make sense. Six guys made it to their all time top 19 at 3200m this year.
I guess we will be hearing about this HS in the future
Yeah. And it looks like I was wrong about how many of his kids are running fast this year. I was looking at the wrong meets. They are more than respectable, and a few guys have made big jumps this year.
Soles is coaching Herriman in Utah. He started 3 days before the season, so XC will be a better judge of his coaching.
Looking at the times some of the Herriman guys have ran they're actually pretty good. I'd say a team with a couple guys in the 4:20 range and 9:20 range is actually better than pretty good.

Just saw that Herriman had no seniors in their top 7 boys in XC last year. Should be interesting next year.
9th at State XC this year
let’s see where they finish next year
my bet is top 3

In 2024 they will be better than Newbury Park and it won’t even be close.
