I loved Mozilla... used it for several months. Then one day it crashes, and when I re-open it, all my bookmarks are gone. GONE. I checked the bookmarks file... GONE. I lost hundreds of bookmarks. Do a Google search on Mozilla delete bookmarks - and you'll see I'm not the only one.
Otherwise, it's a great and secure browser.
Does Mozilla allow you to save your bookmarks to a file? I save my IE bookmarks all the time, though I've never lost them.

Yes, there is a bookmarks.htm file (or something like that), but in this bug that file gets deleted too.
did you try reloading your profile, or perhaps relocating your bookmarks...
go to start menu->run
type %AppData%
look in the mozilla folder for your profile,
(or)
try running:
firefox.exe -profilemanager
perhaps your profile was reset, or just a new one loaded.
good luck.
Thanks for the help...I thought I was the only one. The second option worked for me
