The question you asked is very good. I read it carefully but could not find anyone to help me understand it. Anyone can describe it correctly here

Up until my senior year, I PRed every time I ran it, with exception of 3 times JR year, first was a meet we intentionally jogged to save energy, second was a race where I opened in 60, then slowed got chewed up by my teammates who dropped me on the third lap and I gave up and ran 4:40 (PR was 4:36 then), third was a meet where I was tripling for points and had no competition and ran 4:48 (PR was 4:36 then).
In my senior year, I came into the season in poor shape after not running in the summer. I ran a bunch of 4:38-4:40ish efforts, losing only to my teammate who became a 9:09 3200 runner that season. I started to get going when we had some invites, ran 4:33, then 4:32. My teammate dropped his 3200 from 9:38 to 9:10, which woke me up, then when we matched up at our championship I defended my conference title against him with 4:23 massive PR. I ran 4:24 at district to go to state, then choked state and never ran 1600m again. I did run a bunch of 1500s in college but never ran better than 4:09.
I meant to say winter, not summer.

I'm amazed at what you accomplished. Have you shared your story on letsrun or elsewhere? Would love to read more about how you did it.
Not trying to brag, but I got a 1600 first time I took the test. Never took it again. Not sure if that counts as a progression really. Told the ACT to fk off too, so don't have a point of reference there sorry.
