Is there anyway to increase your LT during base conditioning, since I've heard that during base you should only be doing easy running?
Throw in some tempo stuff during a couple of runs each week, like if you are doing a 80min run, do the last 20-25min at tempo. Increases your LT without put too much stress on your body. I always do these during my base period.
It's much more beneficial if you throw the tempo in the middle of the run!

5*1km reps @5km pace with 1min 2 1min30sec reco.
