This is a call out to all the post collegiates that still care about our sport and are concerned about the current trend of skinner is better.
THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM IN THE NCAA. THIS PROBLEM ISN'T IMMEDIATELY IN MOST CASES RATHER LIFELONG. YOU ALL KNOW THE SERIOUSNESS OF IT ALTHOUGH DUE TO IT'S CONTROVERSIAL NATURE EVERYONE SHYS AWAY FROM DISCUSSING IT - YOU GUESS IT - EATING DISORDERS.
I propose a system of recognition of the athletes that are healthy and perform well. I think these athletes should be recognized. i challenge someone out there who is financially able to create a scholarship awards program (yes a tax deduction), say in the amount of $1000, $600, $400 for the top 3 NCAA women that meet the guidelines that you set forth; such as exemplary performance, leadership and physical health. Believe it or not, Ncaa xc and track athletes are role models for many high school athletes and young people around North America.
I truely think a system such as this should be implemented.
