I’m in high school and i tested positive 3 days ago after having symptoms for a couple of days. I would say the worst was before my test. I kept running until the test and felt my breathing was off. Symptoms were not that bad. I felt tired and i had a little bit of cough. I also had some trouble breathing during my runs.
Today i was feeling better so i went for a 30 min run, after taking the last 2 days off. As expected, i was out of breath for the whole run and had to take a break after 15 min. I then read on some sites about getting back to running after covid, and they recommend everywhere to take like at least a week off after the end of the symptoms. I’m feeling mostly fine right now but i don’t think i’m fully recovered, and i don’t want to aggravate it and to slow down recovery. I don’t want to miss too much training tho.
I would like to hear about your experience with covid, how much time off you took, how hard it was to get back to running and how much time did it take you to get back in good shape.
Right now, I plan to take the rest of the week off which would be another 4 days, and get back to training next week and do workouts with school. I want to go run some pr’s in june. Thanks
