Paris Marathon Registration Closed!

The website says the Registration for the Paris Marathon 2006 is closed!

Does anybody know any way to get registred for this race now? I live in Paris, and was planning on this race, and had just not gotten to registering yet, and now I see this! I'm rather surprised, the registration schedule goes through January. I'm not elite by any means so I don't think that route will work.

I am not above lying, cheating, or stealing however.

I'm thinking there must be a way to get in, does anybody have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

tell the race director your name is keninesia bekele and you wanted to run this marathon, because you are really curious to see how fast you can run a marathon, after running 26.17 for 10k last summer. i am confident the race director will find a way to get you in the race.

Am surprised they closed early.Try the websight ask (beg)for a entry or bandit the damn race.I ran it in 2001(2:53:05)is a huge race.good luck

You could try to go through a tour company, if you wanted to run it THAT badly. I don't have any leads, but it's just a thought.

London is around the same time, if that's a consolation prize. Plus, I hear the course is nicer. . .in Paris you have to deal with 2 miles of tunnels under rue de Rivoli leading up to Concorde at the 18 mile mark. I found that section more difficult than Heartbreak Hill in Boston.

Paris has the highest % of sub 3 marathons than any other 26.2 around.I've run Boston many many times you can't compare heartbreak hill to any little mole hill on the Paris course!You must have been having a bad race to compare Boston with Paris's little bumps on the road.Boston is very difficult.Paris is much easier.Ciao

I'm sure there'll be a few dozen who can't make it due to injury, work, etc. Get back on here around Jan/Feb and see if somebody has a registration they can give to you.

Zurich marathon is the same day, and probably has a much later registration date. Plan for that as a backup.
