A lot can happen in a year but does Solinsky have a good shot to win it all next year?

Look the 2006 NCAA Champ thread we got a discussion going on there..
My bet is on Withrow. He had a groin injury this season and still managed to finish top-10.
Does Solinsky have a chance? Jeez! He's the leading returnee. Just think of a pack of Solinsky, McDougal, Rupp, and Withrow with 1k to go. Isn't that most of the posters here wet dream?
This is not a critism of Solinsky, but the guy looks like he could play for the Wisconsin football team- at least by looking at some of the pics from the meet. I wonder how much faster he could be if he was a little thinner?
That is all strength on his body and that is what gets him through the race.
solinsky is fast and considering he's pretty jacked im sure he gets the ladies too... best of both worlds so I think you might as well shut up.
im a sophomore from wisconsin and i think solinsky is a running god. I remember seeing him at one of my older brothers meet when i was much younger (the indoor meet at uwmadison)and he just had the best kick i have ever seen. Even then i noticed he looked big but my brother who goes to madison sees him running and says hes not as big as he used to be.
Like I said, it is not a critism. If he can run that well, being relatively big for a runner, great. No need to tell people to shut up or be juvenile on here. I just know that the lighter you are, the faster you will be up to a point. That is why runners care so much about the weight of their shoes, diet, etc.
Chris is not that big. He is tall, 6'1" but when you stand next to him he is not that "big", and I am 5'11" and 135lbs, so I am "small".
Some good runners are very broad and somewhat stacked.
Of course the majority of elite runners are twigs but strength in the arms and legs can get you through the course as well.
Josphat Boit would destroy the whole field if he actually set his mind to it. None of these butch, pale guys have got half his talent. But I guess he is satisfied getting an education..
50% of talent is actually to have the ability to set your mind to it.......that is what Boit is lacking.
Solinsky has no chance next year. You must be the stupidest person on the internet. The winner in 2006 will be Justin Radke, if his appeal to the NCAA for more eligibility is approved. He is a dark horse but his 160 miles a week will end up paying off. Radke starts out fast as hell and only slows down a little. Look out for that cat in \'06.
Oh, and I know Solinsky personally. He doesn\'t have the balls to win it all. He told me that he may not continue running because of his feud with his coach and something to do with the lunches they get for being on the team. So to say that Solinsky even has a chance is ludacris...He didnt even get in 2nd place in 2005!!! DUH!

No matter how much he weighs, he'll always be faster then you and about 99.9% of all the posters here. Do you biophysics dummy, muscle makes things move unlike just bones or fat.
Rupp is finished, thanks to that kook named salazar. Yes, C. Solinsky is the man to beat.
Is he going to redshirt at all during one of the track seasons. This guy has gone three straight years without a major break, I don't think it would be a bad idea for him to redshirt one of the track seasons. I just don't want this guy to burn out or have a breakdown at a critical time during one of his seasons.
I'll pick Withrow over Chris! But I think it will be
1. Matt Withrow
2. Josh McDougal
3. Chris Solinsky

Ned you are an idiot. You have posted a lot of stupid posts, including this one. Solinsky will win it easy next year.
Remember the last time solinsky was 3rd at nationals as a junior? remember what he did the next year as a senior? i know, HS is totally different than NCAA talent-wise, but interesting comparison.
