NPR's Michel Martin speaks with scientist Resia Pretorius of Stellenbosch University in South Africa about the key role of microclots in the diagnosis and treatment of long Covid.
Key section from the article. Would explain endurance issues:
PRETORIUS: Inside the microclots that are present in these individuals' blood in circulation, there are various entrapped molecules, inflammatory molecules, that actually prevent the breakdown of the microclots. So although the body's trying very hard to break down these clots with the normal physiological processes, molecules entrapped in the microclots actually prevent it from breaking down. Now, that is a massive issue because if these microclots are in circulation, it damages the vasculature, or your blood vessels, and in that process, prevents the cells to receive enough oxygen, causing then a failure of the coagulation system of oxygen to your cells. And that can be linked to all of the lingering symptoms that have been noted in long COVID.
Bromelain, a traditional herbal medicine, is a proteolytic (protein digesting) enzyme present in the stems, leaves, skin and fruit of pineapple plants. It is one of the most versatile, non-toxic and completely natural drugs w...
Just a couple of caveats to getting bromelain from eating pineapple. It’s most concentrated in the stem, not the fleshy part of the fruit (although there are small amounts there). So if you really want to try it, get some in supplement form.
It’s anti-inflammatory, and a mild blood thinner. This is more of an issue for people taking prescription blood thinners, because it can interact with them.
I did my research block when I was a postdoctoral fellow with a “naturopathic doctor (ND)” who got his degree in Norway (we don’t offer that degree in US medical schools). We studied bromelain in animal models of asthma and, truth be told, it did help with allergic type airway disease.
I’m curious to see if any big trials in long COVID are done with it. (There’s almost no incentive to because it’s a supplement and not FDA regulated, so no company will want to spend the money to do the research).
There's an alarming increase (at least 3x in all these categories) that is being censored and smeared by the institution: increase in cancers from vaccine, increase in miscarriages from vaccine and increase in neurological problems from vaccine. These are real and pertinent health issues that are being censored to perpetuate a self serving agenda. Time to wake up.

Justin Bieber's young wife was hospitalized after experiencing "stroke like symptoms" this week. Let me guess, she was vaccinated. But of course, there's the loophole of "you can't prove it was the vaccine" for the proven scammers and fraudsters at big pharma to fall back on. Expect a lot more similar instances to be reported in the future. These "vaccines" (drugs) also suppress the effectiveness of the immune system, which needs practice fighting off viruses to improve and function adequately. It's time to wake up.
They're scared sh*tless cuz the pfizer documents are showing they knew this thing killed 1,200 out of 42,000 symptomatic (2.6% fatality rate), higher than the fatality rate among symptomatic covid19 cases. The whole narrative is crumbling.
More likely she wasn't vaccinated. She comes from a very religious family which is a red flag for vaccine status. Justin had covid recently so he probably wasn't vaccinated either. So she might have caught it from him and wound up in the hospital like so many others.
Bromelain attenuated development of AAD while altering CD4+ to CD8+ T lymphocyte populations. The reduction in AAD outcomes suggests that bromelain may have similar effects in the treatment of human asthma and hypersensitivit...
It was an animal study, so you can’t draw direct dosing recommendations based on it. Most supplements have 500 mg of bromelain, once or twice a day. (Some have added calcium, so if that’s something you want to avoid, make sure you check the label).
Well we know from just eating pineapple in a casual setting that it breaks down proteins so that part is likely applicable to humans. That's why some people feel pain or numbness on their tongues. It's not because of the citric acid. Also, the protein breakdown reasons are why you can't use fresh pineapple in jello unless you want a mess on your hand.
Yeah… bromelain is also a digestive enzyme. I’m sure there are others. Our conclusion in the abstract was that it should be applicable to humans as a supplement for allergic airway disease. What I meant is I can’t give a solid answer on what the best dose would be.

Come to think of it, I had some benefit from using a supplement with quercetin and bromelain a few years ago for pollen allergies. I assumed at the time that the quercetin was the active ingredient and the bromelain as for assimilation. I will have to revisit that.
