I swear to god, a girl breathes and she's "abrasive and conceited"
I mentioned that she came across as shy and reserved in high school. And I used the words CAME. ACROSS. Because I don't actually know her, and understood that she wasn't having a conversation with me individually when she spoke to the press, she was speaking to a bunch of adults with microphones shoved in her face.
Katelyn is not the only high school girl who comes across as "painfully" shy. It's actually really pervasive that many top high school girls appear to choose their words very carefully and appear altogether really uncomfortable in front of a camera or speaking to a large crowd. That doesn't happen as often with boys.
Sometimes I wonder why and then I see a crappy post like this. Girls are so easily judged. If they're bubbly, they are considered annoying. If they come across as proud of their accomplishments, they are conceited. If they show any competitiveness, they are arrogant, cold or mean. And if they are reserved, then they are aloof or "disrespect their competitors". There's just no winning when you're a girl.
Did Katelyn ever say anything in an interview that offended you? If so, point out where.
