Oh ya, Meyeroff was so cool because he was right on the verge of making the OT marathon standard and went after it hard

Here's a weird one...
I was a redshirt freshman at UC Davis in 2000 and remember finding letsrun. Back then your IP address was publicly attached to your posts and the network
That was trackandfield media that exposed the ip addys at the top of the posts. Something that DOC didn't know as he bashed his peers without knowing his exposure.
This post was removed.
I thought it was a running website where people went to talk T&F. Thought the founders of the website were interested in that & interested in growing the sport.
I miss Avocado Runner
I remember sh*tting in compression socks
Mebrahtom Keflezigh is NOT a REAL American. Was the greatest old school (troll?) post of all-time on here. It Literally put Letsrun on the map.
It spawned dozens of response threads on here, but more importantly CNN, ABC, etc. etc. all wrote articles and had round table discussions about it on air. These articles have gone on for over a Decade now!!
Gutless cowards at CNN wouldn't name Letsrun of course.
Greetings from Chumphon, Thailand.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
Ah, Bruce Hyde...the former dyestat poster, decent HS miler, Cornell grad...and later to become a USATF national champion indoors in a big upset. Spent time chatting with him at a big HS meet when Webb, Ritz and Hall ruled the sport. Very funny dude.
I remember being astounded at the spelling, grammar and logic skills of the twins. they haven’t improved with age.
Right after seeing Wejo impressively win this 2001 las vegas half marathon I searched to see who this dude was and found the message board.
Nice. @wejo, you should sell that T-shirt.

Looks like Wejo could actually run long time ago. Now he struggles with grammar and common sense.
There is still great wisdom and advice on here, but more posters just being mean for no real reason. I guess if you need to vent this is as good a place as any. There used to be some damn funny joke threads, weirdest things you've seen on a run, and other funnies. The forum has always had a weird "locker room" vibe about women/girls. Leading up to the US marathon trials in Birmingham AL there was a lot of good discussion about the individual runners. What ever became of Eddy "Hulybuyk" ? or something like that, the older dude that doped.

Eddy Hellebuyck. Crashed his car off a bridge on the Stainton Memorial Causeway. Body was never found.

Kinda cool to see this. Thank you. I haven't visited this site much in recent years, and rarely post on it anymore.

I was hooked on this site since my first visit . A beautifully crafted multi page thread where a poster wanted to drive a farm plow over a poster named "t&f nut" or something like that . the back and forth of each want to blast shotguns at each other . those were the days
Defending Galen Rupp. Especially against the creators of this site. The early years they hated on him like everyone else, but his unparalleled consistency silenced them.
felt so good to shut them up.
especially guys like Matt withrow Matt tegenkamp and Chris solinsky Simon bairu
thankfully rupp destroyed them all.
where is Matt withrow now? Hahahahah
