It takes a pea brain for a mind to believe that Russia's actions are dictated by who the US elected as president. People in the US have a deranged inflated view of their importance on the world stage. It was a dumb comment by Biden for political gain. Of course we know that the former president would never make dumb comments for political gain.

As I said in another thread, that people are reducing this to a #45 vs. #46 issue is very disturbing. At best, it shows they’re mental midgets and at worst, they’re subtly evil.
This is the most blatant act of naked agression in Europe since WW2. Putin has been in power for two decades and has never don anything remotely on this scale. No, it's not as simple as Biden being weaker than Trump, but you have to be completely in denial as a 'progressive' at this point not to admit that Russia and China now see the West as degenerate and weak. And it's thanks largely to the creeping woke culture, as well as the polarized divisions it's created. You know what? Whatever you or I think about radical trans rights or decolonization and #BLM, most of the rest of the world views it with a mix of utter contempt, revulsion, and hilarity.
Russia invaded Crimea under Obama. Russia did not invade under Trump. Russia is currently invading Ukraine under Biden.
Trump was busy defunding NATO, withholding military aid from Ukraine, praising autocrats, denouncing our generals, declaring he trusted Putin's word over our own military intelligence, and destroying democratic norms in the US. Why would Putin do anything to f up that situation?
Here, idiot…
TRUMP
* Imposed sanctions on Russian companies and Russian entities, blocking at least $3 billion worth of deals from going into Russian coffers.
* Placed harsh economic restrictions on a group of Russian oligarchs which effectively puts more pressure on Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader has illegally amassed enormous wealth – exceeding $25 billion – in the last two decades, but he can't hold all that wealth in his own name, so he appointed oligarch cronies to be his trustees. Putting his oligarchs on sanctions hurts Putin big time.
* Levied considerable financial sanctions and travel restrictions on 50-plus individuals who have been accused of human-rights abuses and corruption under both the Magnitsky Act and the Global Magnitsky Act.
* Criticized NATO allies for not spending enough on defense (and was accused by the lamestream media of encouraging Russia to test alliance resolve). NATO allies, however, have taken steps to pay more, and NATO appears stronger than before, which is decidedly not the outcome Putin wanted.
* Authorized the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats from the U.S. in the wake of nerve agent attack on British soil, allegedly at the hands of the Kremlin.
* Approved the export of lethal weapons, including American-made Javelin antitank missiles, to help Ukraine shore up its eastern defenses against separatists backed by Moscow. More defense cooperation with Ukraine, as well as weapons sales are on the near horizon.
* Killed more than 200 Russian soldiers in Syria – U.S. troops are present as in Syria as much to limit Russian and Iranian influence on the country’s future as to fight the remnants of the Islamic State.
* Facilitated U.S. sales of more coal to energy-strapped Ukraine, while weakening Russia's hold on oil exports.
* Ramped up militarily to pressure the Russian Federation as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the Defense Secretary work to strengthen alliances and military cooperation with Baltic states that share borders with Russia.
* Offered a proposal to Poland to host a permanent contingent of U.S. troops, in the way that Germany and Italy have done since World War II, to help secure Poland’s 180-mile long border with Russia.
* Discussed with Ukraine’s president the enhancement of cooperation in security and defense sectors, and the importance of keeping tight sanctions on Russia – to Putin a most unwelcome development.
* Pressured Germany over its status as the largest buyer of Russian natural gas, and as a huge buyer of Russia coal and mineral oil.
* Sanctioned four Russian entities and seven individuals in response to a 2018 attempt to interfere in U.S. midterm elections, including Russian financier Yevgeniy Prigozhin, a wealthy loyalist nicknamed "Putin's chef" who has his mitts in many pies.
* Suspended its obligations under the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty because Russia was not complying with it.

But yeah… what you said. LOL
You cut n paste from right wing Town Hall. It is right wing spin designed to distract from the obvious subservience and fealty that Trump displayed that we all saw right before our vary eyes. Like when he said US and Russia were going to work on a dual cyber security task force. Yowsa. That is off the charts stupid.

You've posted similar things a few times already. How would rolling back trans rights stop Putin from walking over international borders? Should we abolish gay marriage to show him we're serious people?!

This is actual magical thinking
No, but many of our progressive leaders are clueless about what's truly important. Electing congressmen or women that are more concerned with pronouns and whether or not transgenders could compete in college at the expense of national security has consequences.

Even if all of this is accurate, which is isn't, exactly how does any of the good you say he did override him praising Putin now for invading Ukraine? The former president of the United States is praising Putin for starting a war that will kill tens of thousands of people. "Oh, that's wonderful. That's genius. He liked me, I liked him. He's a man of charm and a lot of pride." This is what he said in response to Putin's move to invade Ukraine.

So true...Going to be interesting to see if the woke progressives can enter reality and stop the wacky nonsense they have been engaging in. Lots of people suffering from $5.00 gas and inflated food prices, lets see what's more important to liberals, people suffering or climate change BS.
It is sad that this needs to be said. But it really diminishes the argument that Trump would be a better leader in this situation when he literally just praised the invasion and said it was "pretty smart" for Putin to do it.

Defend it. Please try.
It’s all accurate and you know it. (Note the lack of refuting any of it.)
He’s not praising Putin for starting a war.
Don’t deflect from the fact that the current installed soulless criminal scumbag is an incompetent blowhard that Putin (and Xi) DO NOT respect.
What’s the first thing Biden did a year ago? Yep- got that approved pipeline between Russia and Germany approved. Please.

It IS pretty smart, from Putin's perspective. You can't see that? It doesn't mean anyone approves of his action but he just moved his rook into 'check' position. Brandon's move ...
Big picture what you are seeing in Ukraine — and maybe Taiwan too — is a conflict between people who believe in words, gestures, the blue check left wing journos of the world and people who believe in raw, physical power.
