As CDC director Walensky clarified we are counting anyone who goes to the hospital and test positive for Covid as a covid patient and if they die for any reason it can be a Covid death.

We are so rich we can pay $30K a pop to label all these as Covid deaths. Obviously, there is a lot of real death from Covid but there is a lot of BS in our numbers. Not to mention cycle issues on the PCR for much of the pandemic which led to some suspect positives and other issues.

Yes if you test positive, you are a covid patient. Far more resources are needed to deal with patients who are infectious with a deadly illness, whether they are "in the hospital" for that, or not.

And shockingly she if they die for any reason it CAN be covid? I mean, no sht sherlock. Indeed most that die in the hospital while infected, do in fact, die of covid. A few don't I suppose.

Not a surprise as the US is the worst among wealthy countries in major health markers such as life expectancy and infant mortality. The healthcare system being busted is the main reason why Covid is worse in the US. Yeah masks and vaccines will help lower deaths but Covid is just amplifying a problem we've already had.

You do know everyone who went to the hospital for any reason was getting tested for Covid in the US until very recently. Like you're going for a minor surgery and feel fine, you get tested. Suddenly you test positive and go in the count. Do you not realize how many people with terminal cancel or kidney issues, or conditions XYZ tested positive for Covid then died and went if the Covid death count. Look at the co-morbidity summary of people who died with Covid. Its not like most of these deaths were people in their 50's and had high blood pressure. 3/4 of the deaths are people 65 or older and the common co-morbidities are things like cancer, renal failure, cardiac, arrest, dementia. These were not healthy people. We have never counted deaths in this manner for any infectious disease. If Dr's were required to test every patient for the flu and then list flu on the death certificate of every patient who had tested positive and died the flu deaths would be an order of magnitude higher than what it currently is.
